Enjoy a relaxing stay in our modern suit, close to all amenities Manapouri has to offer. Large back yard with gold fish and gardens, outdoor patio and full kitchen and laundry facilities. Enjoy bush walking track to the harbour and beach 10 minutes from your unit. The unit is a large, modern clean space with a very comfortable bed and new linen for the most comfortable sleep. All laundry facilities on site for you to use for free, just like home away from home.

Què hi ha als voltants

  • This was taken at the Kea Point lookout at Mt Cook National Park. It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The Muller Glacier down the bottom definitely gave the image a good colour contrast as well.

This accommodation was advertised as 2 bedroom and we booked on this basis. THERE IS ONLY 1 bedroom. This is quite false. There is no wardrobe or coat hangers so no where to hang anything e.g. wet coat. The photos are not representative of the state of the facility. Outside the rear door is unkempt and untidy The "patio" at the front is squeezed between a garden shed and old fence. We tried to contact the owners a number of times but they did not respond. It is a long time since I have experienced such a poor experience. I think the advising of 2 bedroom in a one bedroom unit is very misleading

The property is clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for Doubtful sound trips. Amenities include everything that one needs. Geraldine communicated quickly when I had questions. Our only negative comment is that the listing clearly states there are two bathrooms. That is incorrect; there is one bathroom.

This was a beautiful unit with everything we needed. Quiet, close to a cafe, great to access tours and sights, and Milford sound was amazing! I loved the decor, comfy bed, and I’d come back if we lived in this gorgeous country!

Home away from home

Enjoyed 4 nights here. Geraldine has supplied the apartment with everything we needed and then some. The bed was super comfortable, the neighborhood very quiet, the location to the lake trail very convenient and the laundry right in the apt was so helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Geraldine and her husband and they were very hospitable. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect stay

We needed nothing. Grateful for coffee and ice cube trays! There was not an ice tray to be found at the other 4 places we have stayed. Lovely soaps and shampoos and towels.Please update the WiFi password on the wall. It took us a long time to realize the password in the guest book was different. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely abode.

The bach offers enough space for 3 persons. The kitchen ist fully equipped. Manapouri ist a great place to visit the Mountains and Milford Sound.

A great base for exploring the Fiordlands

We really enjoyed our stay at Geraldine's place. The unit was very well laid out and comfortable with a large garden. Being able to do laundry was also a plus. The lake was beautiful and access was just across the road. Geraldine was a friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend!
