This is a beautifully upgraded 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, ski-in, ski-out condo at Sunstone Lodge with terrific views over Mammoth Lakes. This well-appointed vacation rental features a flat screen TV in the living room with a cozy gas fireplace, luxury furnishings, custom built-ins and custom paint throughout. The dining area comes equipped with a custom wood dining table with seating for 4 and a kitchen fully equipped with all the amenities. There are spectacular views of the Sherwin Mountains and the town of Mammoth from the outdoor deck too! The master bedroom features a comfortable King bed with TV and DVD player and stereo. There is even extra sleeping room on the sleeper sofa in the living room. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. This Mammoth condo sleeps a maximum of 4 people and comes with underground, heated garage parking for one vehicle (garage clearance is 8' 2"). Guests will be provided one parking pass. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. This unit comes with building wide wireless internet, we cannot guarantee speed or accessibility. There are no stairs to this unit, no stairs inside, and no smoking or pets are permitted. Love staying at Sunstone. Steps to the slope. Underground parking is so convenient.Condo had all our needs. Pretty views, but not of the ski run.

The room was nice, I’ve stayed in other units in the same development on VRBO and have had nicer units. My biggest problem was the TVs had issues, we did complain to the property management company and they attempted to rectify the problem, but they said it was gonna take a week for the cable company to come out and we were only staying for four nights.The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The unit itself was well kept. Could use nicer bedding found it to be a little bit on the old side. No dresser in the bedroom, so there was no place to put clothing that wasn’t hung up.

Sunstone - for the location

Place was as advertised - a good, but dated, unit right next to Eagle Express, which is why you pay what you do to stay here. All was clean, enough supplies for two were provided, and the bed and sofa bed were fine for a few nights. The only issues were that the over-oven microwave didn't work, so therefore the over-oven light did not work and you couldn't see anything in the morning or night and with no under-cabinet lighting you couldn't see to make a pot of coffee in the 1999 coffee maker with the wrong size filters, LOL. Also, I think the thermostat was also from around the 80s. A dial with no numbers that was a struggle to move and you had to guess a few times to get right. Last positive, great pool and jacuzzi. Also where you walk out to ski/board to the lift. THAT was awesome.

Get Away

I was surprised to see only 1 roll of toilet paper for a 4 day stay. I only stay at Sunstone and this was a first. Also…..unit 103 is quite sparsely provisioned. No salt or pepper which I found odd as other units have always had basic stuff like that. Lastly and I realize this has nothing to do with Sunstone…..but the occupants of unit 101 on Monday -Tuesday argued so loudly that I considered called Mammoth PD. I have never had that happen in the property as Sunstone is an amazing place.

We were unaware that we did not have air conditioning in our unit. There was only one fan in the condo. No ceiling fans either. It was extremely warm and uncomfortable in our condo our entire stay. Very difficult to sleep. The coffee pot did not work either which was very frustrating!!!

Great cozy condo

good location, 1st floor end of building. Ski in and out was easy and lockers are a bonus for storage of skis. One tip, coffee machine power button works but is a little off. You have to press above the button to get it to activate.

Nice Place

Great location Easy check-in, though you have to stop at an office location to pick up a key card. Pretty late check in time: 5:00 pm and check out still 10:00 am - that didn’t shift. Had to just let them know we weren’t going to drive into town to just drop off keys and instead we’d drop it off on our way out. Condo is nice but very corporate. Not a big deal if you eat out but if you plan to cook there’s absolutely nothing in the way of spices, i.e., salt, pepper or even sugar. Just come prepared and you’re good.

Great spot

Loved this property. We use Vrbo for our mammoth stay 1-2 times per year and this place really was nice. The kitchen was well appointed, comfortable furniture and very clean. Great view from the balcony and very peaceful location without noise from the street. Would definitely stay here again. Had a leak with the kitchen faucet and called the maintenance person, he was to our unit within 15 minutes. Great service.

Extremely hot nights, no a/c

The worst 4 nights ever. Could not sleep all 4 nights we were there. The heater was turned on high when we arrived, hard to breath as soon as we walked in. We turned it off right away and left it off during our stay. We used the small fan that was in the closet and that didn’t help. We opened the back door and window every night, but that didn’t help either. :-( Other than that, the place was very nice and very well taken care.

The convenience of this ski in- ski out is obviously a great selling point. The condo was very nice, but the beed needed a new mattress. It sunk down in the middle. Also, the ski lockers need to be larger. I would recommend it though, as you can't beat the location.

Nice condo with ski in/out convenience

The condo was clean and worked great for our 3 night stay. Best part is the ski in and out location. You walk outside by the hot tub, click in to your skis or board and it’s short little ride to chair 15. Also nice to ski back to the condo for lunch to avoid waiting for a table at Eagle lodge.
