Welcome to Silver Bear Lodge, where your Mammoth getaway gets a major upgrade! 🏔️ Nestled just a 5-minute jaunt from Canyon Lodge ski area, this cozy cabin is your front-row seat to all the winter wonderland action. Whether you're a powder-hound or just love the vibe, it’s the perfect place to drop your gear and get your snow fix.

Catch the thrills of Mammoth’s epic events, like the Night of Lights, or become the first to carve up the slopes at dawn. Families, we’ve got you covered too — with the ski school right nearby, your little shredders will be on their way to pro status in no time. Plus, the best part? You can zip back to your condo for a midday recharge — lunch, naps, hot cocoa... whatever it takes.

Inside? Perfection. Our kitchen’s been freshly updated and fully stocked for all your culinary adventures (s’mores included). Cozy up by the romantic gas log fireplace after a full day of snowy fun and let the magic unfold. We've got two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, and even in-unit laundry (because who wants to lug dirty gear around?).

The Master Bedroom features a king-sized bed, ample storage, extra bedding, and a TV with DVD player for those cozy movie nights. The attached bathroom? It’s all yours — for ultimate comfort and privacy. The Guest Room is perfect for your crew with one Queen bed and one Full bed, plus its own bathroom. It's basically your home-away-from-home with extra fun flair.

Need a little more space? The living room doubles as a sleeping haven with a Queen pull-out couch for those extra guests. And when the weather’s not cooperating, fear not! We’ve got an arsenal of games to keep everyone entertained.

Don’t worry about parking — we've got underground parking for one car (clearance 7’ 2”), plus additional outdoor spots on a first-come, first-served basis. Need a break from all that action? Take a dip in the hot tubs, challenge your pals in the game room, or fire up the BBQ (only in the summer, though — sorry, snowman, no BBQ in winter).

Some details to keep in mind: No A/C needed in these parts (just crack open the windows and let that fresh mountain air in). BBQs are available only during the summer, and if your stay stretches past two weeks, there’s a $250 cleaning fee to keep everything fresh and sparkly.

Oh, and remember — we’re located at Canyon Lodge, so your ski access is subject to Mother Nature’s whims. Check the Mammoth Mountain website for the latest updates on snow conditions and opening dates.

It’s a great rental. But, there definitely could have been more attention to detail when it came to cleaning. There was blood on the bathroom walls, sticky syrup on the counters, and a dishwasher full of dishes from the previous guests. Also it was a pain using the garage since the previous guests did not leave the clicker. The clicker was never replaced during the stay, and using the garage was a pain.

Unit is in a good location close to downtown area of Mammoth Lakes. It has some issues with maintenance due to the age of the unit. • Main door bolt wasn’t working due to side plate screws loose (poor installation)• Carpet was not very clean • Closet door of the main bedroom almost felt off the upper track as we were opening it. • Advertised amenities were out of service• During our stay (summer) there wasn’t good air circulation even with available air fans. • The building itself lack cleanliness. • Overall this unit is way over price compare to others we have stayed over the past 30 years• On top of all things I left my wedding ring somewhere in the main bedroom and when I realized I didn’t have it, I called the host to reported it but it was already late in the afternoon and more likely after the cleaning crew had already cleaned the unit. It was never found! Bad, bad, experience

Excellent accommodations!

Everything was great at this location; the kitchen was well stocked, very clean condo, Canyon Lodge a short walk, and underground parking was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again!

Quaint and Cozy Stay

While the instructions were more extensive than any other place I have stayed at, it was clear and concise. Parking garage instructions could have been more clear as there are 2 of them and some may get lost at night.Main TV remote and hair dryer was broken. The host was very responsive and got someone to fix it the next day. There was no dishwasher detergent so we had to hand wash everything.The condo was very spacious and comfortably fit 6 of us. The walk to the Canyon Lodge was quick but at a slight incline. Overall a good experience and would not mind coming back.

Convenient and spacious

First things first, really liked the layout of the condo unit. 2 BRs, each with a dedicated bathroom. So many condos I’ve stayed at have the 2nd bathroom in the common area, which is inconvenient for one set of guests. Also important is the in-unit washer and dryer, always nice, and almost necessary. The unit was spacious with a comfortable living room and a well stocked kitchen. Make sure to bring any essentials, the listing is clear that this is not a hotel stocked type unit. The community hot tub was an easy walk, even in the cold of winter. Underground, heated parking is also a great amenity and provides for easy unloading out of the elements. There is an about a 5 minute walk to the Canyon Lodge area of Mammoth, which allows for access to the Canyon Express lift and Chair 8. Return access at the end of the day is really easy from almost any area of the mountain.

Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location, easy access to the mountain and close to everything in town. We loved having the hot tub to soak in after a day of snowboarding. There are 4 beds (including the sofa pull out) so it can comfortably sleep a group. Great value for the price.

Great Condo with a great location!

This Silver Bear property was really pleasant. Check in easy, it was clean and had everything we needed (although it could use a broom but we found a dustpan). It was super close and in walking distance to to Canyon lodge. We ended up driving because there was plenty of parking. We would definitely recommend it to any family!

Nice getaway stay

We made a last minute spring break trip to enjoy the mass amount of snow. Though it was a little difficult to find initially because of all the snow, we found it after a brief call to the manager. Condo was close and easy to access Canyon Lodge. The kitchen was fully stocked as described.

Nice 1st Floor Unit

We really enjoyed our stay here, but check in was confusing and made difficult with the walls of snow covering everything but the driveway. Would be helpful if a temporary address or sign could be placed somewhere to identify the property. The unit itself was just as described and the kitchen was stocked nicely with essential cookware and dishes. The fireplace was great, super easy to turn on and put out a lot of heat. The furniture was nice and comfortable and the big windows provided an amazing view outside. Both jacuzzis are essentially outside, one is covered. Also, the garage access is located beside the main building entrance. Again, some sort of temporary sign would be helpful when the snow is covering everything. After finally figuring out The location and where everything was we enjoyed our stay here.

Family of four staying in mammoth for years. Really enjoyed to condo! Very well appointed with everything you need to cook at home. Conveniently located walking distance to Canyon! Even found some fun sledding hills! Will be back for sure!

Unpleasant

The apartment was good. Unfortunately we had a few run ins with the person managing the place and he was not friendly but rude and impatient. We were loading our car and he insisted that we move it even tho it had only been 5 minutes. He was rude to our guests who were in the jacuzzi at night before curfew and insisted they leave when they still had 40 minutes till posted time. He also was rude about one of our guests smoking in the parking lot way further out than the required feet. Covered Jacuzzi was ice cold second day we were there. Someone parked in our stall in the garage first night so we had to park outside. There was no follow thru with this. PLEASE in the future put families with small children on the lower level as they make a lot of noise when on the second floor and it woke us early. And it was loud running around at nighttime.

I did not like the long list of things that I will be fined for (effectively forfeiting my deposit). The threatening email was the first thing that appeared in my inbox after signing up for the completely non-refundable stay. Apparently if you forget to return the little laminated parking permit card, you will be fined 1/2 your deposit per card. Also if someone decides to complain about you being too noisy ( I have active, noisey kids, btw ) you will forfeit your entire deposit. Fortunately nobody complained. Next, no INTERNET. Didn't work at all. The building must be sealed with LEAD because cell coverage was zero inside the condo. They refused to fix the internet... I got a reply ... "oh, yeah we heard it was down, but we thought it was fixed". Nobody was ever sent to the room to fix it. Finally the front door lock needed to be replaced right in the middle of our stay, so they had to order a locksmith in. We were unable to return to the condo for lunch due to this, so we had to spend extra for food from the ski slope to feed the kids. Nobody reached out to reimburse us (even partially) for the inconvenience and added expense to our trip.
