Hip Modern Cabin in The Village

Does a log cabin in the woods sound like a dream, but is the lack of 5-star amenities a deal-breaker? Look no further than this dreamy mid-century modern cabin in the heart of the Village at Grand Sierra Lodge!

This newly renovated top floor retreat has beautiful views, new furniture and appliances, real hickory walls and flooring, and a fully stocked kitchen with new stainless steel cookware.

Light bright and airy, this unit is filled with beautiful modern finishes, from the custom brass backsplash to the handcrafted Quiet Town shower curtain. Every detail has been designed to make sure that the space is truly unique.

Kick off your day trying some of our favorite espresso blends from the Breville Nespresso machine, or head downstairs to the Sierra Grind for lattes and cold brew.

Take a stroll around the pool to indulge in Nutella crepes at Side Door, or for healthier fare, head over to Old NY Deli, for egg white omelets and avocado toast.

The Village has a laid-back vibe, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. Post up at one of the fire pits to enjoy live music on the weekends, and with plenty of outdoor dining, there is always a place to enjoy happy hours and sunset dinners.

Great little winter spot in the village

I think in the winter time this is the perfect spot for a short stay! Perfect for skiing, ski in and lockers. Conveniently located in the village; walking distance to everything there. The parking and garage is fantastic.The room was clean and comfortable. The bed/bedding was very comfortable. We did not have any issues with the room itself. Things to consider:For summertime- Unfortunately, to say this unit has AC is false advertising. There is no central AC. They do provide a portable unit (the AC) that sits in the middle of the living room. Not only was it not working 95% of our stay but when it was working it was loud, cumbersome and was incapable of keeping even the living room cool. This room was in the sun most of the days when we were there and got very warm during the day. At night it cooled off so leaving the windows open was mostly adequate, but the unit is above the check in, so cars woke us up early with doors slamming and horns honking every morning around 6 AM. There is no dresser and the closet is tiny, we had to live out of our suitcases all week, made the bedroom very cluttered.Not recommended for laundry- The Laundry facility is downstairs in the building- the machines are small, you have to download an app, then add a credit card to use them, it took approximately 20 minutes just to figure out how to use them. Laundry took 1.5 hrs and 10 and our clothes still were not dry. The only detergent for purchase required 2 in quarters.

Amazing condo at mammoth Village

I was blown away seeing this remodeled condo at the Mammoth Village. It is exactly what was described in the rental listing. The bed was really comfortable and we loved watching the snow fall looking at the beautiful view of the mountains from the couch. We will definitely stay there again.

Short stay, great location

Asides from a slight maintenance issue, everything went well. As a family of 2 adults, 2 kids (10,12), it was great for location however i would not rely on sofa mattress for good rest. Sleep on sofa as-is is more comfortable then pull out. King bed is comfy.

Great location and very clean!

This property hits three nails on the Mammoth head. First, it is right next to the gondola making access to the mountain easy peasy. Second, it is in the Village so if, like us, you have a non-skier in your group, there is easy access to several restaurants and stores. Third, it is clean and comfortable. (Very cozy king-size bed!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely 1 bedroom unit. The location within the complex was great - close to elevator / facilities. The unit was well-stocked and clean. Minor suggestion - perhaps a slightly brighter light bulb in bathroom over sink. Otherwise, amazing!Thanks!

Amazing Christmas Stay

This is a wonderful location and the host is great. We wanted to make sure our kids had a visit from Santa and she was able to secure a small Christmas tree for our stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

Second time staying in this unit. It was perfect - clean, easy entry instructions and simple check out. It’s the perfect size for the two us. Kitchen has everything we need to make our lunches for a day on the lake and easy walking to delicious dinner locations. We also appreciate how quiet it is especially for being in the village. A treat in The Villiage

There is usually very little differentiating one bedrooms in The Village. This unit has separated itself from the rest with the following pluses- beautiful flooring, fixtures and furniture. Motorized blinds, well stocked kitchen and a perfect location in the building (as quiet a spot as possible). Finally the unit is close to the elevator (but does not share a wall). The owners are kind and caring. Great unit, great stay.

Best Stay in Mammoth

We’ve been staying at the Village for years and this was by far our favorite unit. It was perfect for my husband and me. We had everything we needed and then some. The best part of the cabin was how quiet it was. We enjoyed our late afternoons on the balcony after a day of fishing playing board games and having a drink. We can’t wait to go back. I contemplated writing this review because our stay was that great and didn’t want to let others know about.

"Little Gem"

-The location: 5th floor, outstanding as the unit is located above the normal expected hustle/bustle of the Lobby and lower floors. The Grand Sierra is located within the Village, steps away from restaurants, boutique shopping, general store. If the village gondola is not in operation, the "shuttle hut" is literally located across the street. Jump on the shuttle with your gear and take a short ride up to the main lodge. This will save you a drive and a hunt for a parking spot on the mountain (although, there are parking shuttles once you've managed to park) The point is, you have options.. -This unit provides for private underground parking which accomodates large, full size P/U's or SUV's with access to a storage locker. U/G opening is 8'6" in height. The unit itself is quaint, clean with tasteful modern upgrades stocked with the essentials if you've forgotten your travel bag. Full kitchen with essentials if you choose to prepare a meal. Nice, quaint, small balcony. The owner's are informative, ingraciating and responsive to communication. Super easy check-in process... -This unit is a great option if you are researching for a central location to minimize logistics and maximize activity and or leisure time. Thank you Kerstin for sharing your "little gem".

Great Location

Condo was just as advertised and was conveniently located to everything we needed so we never had to drive anywhere. Sofa bed was a bit creaky, but that may be standard for these types of beds. Greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
