Main Lake Luxury and spectacular panoramic views! Sleeps 8!

  • Approximately 2200 square feet in this waterfront spacious and private suite - first level of a large house, located in the beautiful Lake Gaston gated community of Harbor Landing where the views are million dollars and the homes are spectacular! Although guests have access to everything listed/pictured in this listing, that does not include the locked portion (upper level) that the owners never rent out upstairs. Upper level is NEVER occupied when this home is rented. Guests will have complete privacy and exclusive access to the property and boat house deck area (not lifts). If you are looking for MAIN LAKE private access with gorgeous sunset views, this house is it! The large primary bedroom features a four poster - king bed as well as a sitting area, desk/vanity, ensuite bathroom and walk in closet. The secondary bedrooms feature queen beds. Both front bedrooms feature remarkable lake front views. The third and fourth rooms have lake views as well but are not lake front rooms. The fourth room doubles as the theater room and has a Smart 85-inch wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a queen sleeper sofa and additional seating. The well-appointed kitchen is bright, open and airy. The living area features leather seating, a flat-screen TV and a full wall of windows that overlook Lake Gaston. In fact, sitting inside the home or out on the terrace, you feel like you are actually at the water's edge! Full size washer and dryer are included as is a portable crib, a Graco pack n' play and two highchairs. Down at the lake, a boat house with docking areas for your boat and/or PWC(s) features a sunning area as well as shaded spots. The kayak is there for your use, but you must provide your own life jackets in compliance with NC boating regulations and your safety. The depth of the water off of the boathouse is about 16 feet deep! A real treasure, that you can easily fit into the tales of your family memories!

    About half a mile from the home, there is a neighborhood launch for ease of getting your boat and/or PWC to the boathouse.

Another wonderful trip to the lake

We’ve stayed at this property multiple times, and it’s always a great time. Unbeatable location on the main lake with the most incredible sunsets. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent stay

The property is lovely and well stocked (nice sheets and towels, plenty of dishes). Great outdoor spaces and beautiful sunsets! Check in and out and all communications were easy. We would definitely return.

Perfect Small Lake Front Stay

We had yet another wonderful stay here. This is our third time. The upgraded boat house is wonderful. Always clean and owner is very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions.

Comfortable and spacious accommodations. Right on the lake. Literally only a few steps down which is an incredible treat. South side of the lake which allows for longer daylight time. Incredible experience!

Amazing vacation

We've stayed here a few times...it's amazing! They have done some updates and upgrades. The new rooftop deck on the the boat dock is perfect for evenings. The kids loved jumping off it as well. It's beautiful inside and out with great views of the lake and sunsets. We love staying here during the summer!

Grand Camp

We took our grands. They are tweens. Had a relaxing stay. Watched movies, sunsets, grilled, and built fires in the fire pit. Had s’mores by the fire after dinner. It was a clear night and magical.

Absolutely amazing lake property!

We couldn’t have loved our stay at this gorgeous house any more. The moment that I walked down the walkway from the car to the porch, I got actual goosebumps when I saw the panoramic view of the lake. From then on, we spent every moment outside that we possibly could. When we weren’t boating, we floated on the lily pad, used the kayak, and jumped off the dock countless times. We ate meals either on the porch or out on the top deck of the dock. We loved using the fire pit on the porch and grilling a couple of our dinners. We even sat on the porch during a complete downpour and were able to watch the storm roll in and out. Communicating with Marianne was easy and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again if we are able to come back to Lake Gaston next year!

This place is really beautiful. The house is spacious with a large kitchen and Main bedroom. We went for Thanksgiving and it was just perfect.

Amazing View

Beautiful home with an amazing porch and dock. Large, well-stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking in. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of lounging space. Definitely off the grid - so be sure to bring anything you may need. Suggest bringing along some beach chairs for the dock if you want to spend time down there. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back!

Not super kid friendly

I was unaware when booking that you just get access to the downstairs and the upstairs of the house is locked and closed off. The downstairs area is very nice and does offer plenty of space, was just unaware of the circumstance. The view is wonderful!! We did come with multiple small children and the yard area is not very kid friendly. Very steep and multiple stairs and rocky. We throughly enjoyed the dock and swimming. The closest grocery store is over 30 minutes away so just not super convenient if needing to run out really quick. Very nice of the house to have kid items including pack and play and high chair.

Great Property

Our stay at the Heron House was great. The house was very large, clean and plenty of room out on the deck and dock. Would definitely come back next year if its available. Only recommendation I would have is for the owner to provide more pots and larger skillets for cooking. There was really only one small skillet and was hard to cook breakfast and dinners with one skillet. Overall, its a great place with an unreal view.

Excellent Property and Location

Everything was exceptional - from communications with the owner, cleaning services, and property itself. Instructions for check-in and check-out were very thorough and clear. Great location on Lake Gaston as a launch point for water recreation, including fishing. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Rental

Great view of the lake (none better). Excellent accommodations. Marianne was very responsive to our questions and requests. It should be noted that the only entrance available for renters is the lake side (back side) of the house, so you need to carry all luggage and supplies around to the back of the house.
