Green Castle cabin on the Shenandoah River

  • Ubicada en una colina a orillas del río Shenandoah, esta cabaña fue construida especialmente para vacaciones junto al río. Puedes relajarte y chatear con amigos en el porche cubierto o malvaviscos asados alrededor del pozo de fuego cercano mientras escuchas el río en el fondo. Leña apilada y seca está disponible para su uso por una pequeña tarifa. En el interior, encontrará una cocina totalmente equipada que desemboca en el comedor y la sala de estar con TV por satélite y por cable y chimenea de gas. Desde la acogedora sala de estar, tiene una vista maravillosa del patio y el río a través de la hermosa pared de la ventana. Descanse después de un día disfrutando del aire libre en una de las tres cómodas habitaciones o en una silla en la gran terraza con vista al río. La cabina también cuenta con pisos y molduras de madera, techo de catedral en la sala de estar y pisos cerámicos en los baños modernos y completamente amueblados. Afuera, hay una parrilla de gas para asar hamburguesas, un enorme patio abierto y, ¿lo mencionamos? - la orilla del río para que puedas caminar o sacar las canoas con facilidad.

    TENGA EN CUENTA: El cargo opcional de leña de $ 10 / noche es para leña para la fogata al aire libre. (La chimenea interior de esta propiedad es de gas). Si no cree que usará la leña o le gustaría traer la suya, ¡háganoslo saber! Estamos más que felices de reembolsarle eso.

We had an excellent stay at Green Castle cabin for a long weekend. The home was clean, check-in and check-out was smooth and we appreciated the amenities (Black Stone, hot tub, fire pit and available fire wood.) Wonderful view and our golden retrievers enjoyed the stay as well.

This place was amazing - extremely clean, stocked with anything we may have needed, the instructions for everything were clearly outlined and the hosts' communication was stellar. Thank you again Green Castle - we will be back!

The home was beautiful quiet and so peaceful. A great getaway perfect for reconnecting and unplugging from the world. Fishing was fantastic and enjoyable. We will be back!

Beautiful Stay

We loved our stay at green castle cabin! It was great to be right on the water with kayaks and canoes to use and the hot tub was clean with amazing views.

Perfect Shenandoah Getaway

This is an excellent property and location for All accommodations. They family enjoyed the stay here, as they got to experience the outdoors while still having the comforts of home. I'm looking forward to another getaway...soon 😌🙌

Relaxing on the river

Such a sweet cabin in the woods. My family and I had an amazing weekend relaxing in the river during the day and spending quality time together around the campfire in the evenings. Our dogs loved the getaway as well.

Great stay!!

This house was the perfect spot for a long getaway with friends! The open floor plan on the first floor is great for hanging out and the views are perfect with the windows surrounding it! I would definitely stay here again.

It was a nice comfy cabin and met all our needs. Unfortunately the nearby trail was blocked by a fallen tree but everything else was wonderful. It could be easier to get to the river.

We had an amazing time by the river! Getting in the river is challenging so be careful! Otherwise cozy place for a long weekend with wonderful views!

Excellent stay on the Shenandoah River South Fork

This cabin is prime real estate for floating the south fork on Luray. There is a public boat launch 8 miles up the road where you launch, and then float one of the best parts of the Shenandoah River back to the cabin. It is very beautiful here!!

Amazing

The property was perfect. Amazing views and right on the river. Very clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed it so much we already booked the cabin again. The Shenandoah team is also very responsive to your questions which I appreciated. I really have no complaints other than I wish we had stayed longer. Thank you for allowing us to stay in this gorgeous cabin.

Wonderful Stay on the River

As a group of two couples, this was our second visit to Green Castle hosted by Shenandoah Rentals. They did a wonderful job communicating with us for arrival and departure; Laura and her team were especially helpful moving a kayak to the property for our use. We enjoyed the open space on the first floor for cooking and meals. The deck facing the South Fork of the Shenandoah River provided us with beautiful and peaceful views of the river. The hot tub was especially relaxing after kayaking on the river. We plan to be back next year!

The cabin was in a beautiful location right on the river and near a pond that we drove to for fishing and kayaking. The river was extremely high due to recent rains, but we did manage to catch some fish and enjoy a tube float. The Wi-Fi was appreciated, because we didn't get any cell service in the area on Verizon. I do wish the hosts provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, because there isn't a place to pick some up nearby, so that seemed like a critical amenity to have on hand. We had to run back to Luray to get some. It was a lovely relaxing family vacation!

Bliss

I could not have asked for a better birthday retreat. It was everything I asked for and more. If you are seeking solitude, an opportunity to breathe and feel the stress ebb away, this is the place for you. I had the unexpected pleasure of meeting the owner who is very charming. I will be returning.

Green Castle

As Advertised. Had Power outage on Thanksgiving morning due to tree falling on power lines. Property Manager answered my call quickly and reported outage to utility. Power was back on by 11:00 am. Otherwise uneventful.

Family bonding

Family of four, two kids ages 8 and 9. My husband just returned from a deployment on a ship and the first thing he wanted to do was stay here and enjoy the great outdoors. We stayed for 7 days, the same week hurricane Ian hit Florida. We ended up getting 6 days of rain/mist/fog/overcast weather, but we didn't let ruin our trip. We still managed to walk a few trails in Shenandoah, mini golf and go carts in Massanutten, and visited Luray Caverns. We ended up cooking at the house most nights, the kitchen was fully equipped to make homemade meals and grill every night. We played board games every night, but make sure you bring them from home or stop at the local Walmart. The house was clean and well maintained outside too. We just wish the weather cooperated during our trip.
