Life in the City - your home away from home in Central London!

A cool top floor penthouse apartment offering 110 sqm of living space, including a 40 sqm decked terrace overlooking the financial city. You'll be in the heart of the city - the buzz (and delicious food) of the market street below by day, the quiet you need to rest by night.

The penthouse is a newly built conversion on top of what used to be a pub-house (turned into a cool and lively cafe) and is great both for business visitors to London (walking distance to the City, 2 stops from Kings Cross), as well as tourists (a 10 min walk to St. Paul's and from there take the tube to Oxford street or cross the river over to the Tate Modern for example).

The 40 sqm decked terrace of the flat with expansive views on the City is what makes this place special and is a great end of day destination and a nice brunch/lunch spot any time of the week (London weather permitting).

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the smaller bedroom has a reclining sofa, that can sleep two. The bathroom has a bathtub as well as a separate shower.

Fully equipped kitchen, including a blender (great for smoothies any time of day), juice press (to satisfy your thirst for fresh orange juice) and a Nespresso coffee machine to help you wake up in the morning. A large oven and stove as well as a microwave, for those who feel the need to cook at home, although there are a bunch of great places at your doorstep (Turkish, sushi, Vegan, Thai, Indian, Italian, Ramen noodles and more).

For groceries, Waitrose supermarket is just down the street.

Please note, the penthouse is situated on the top (3rd) floor of an old pub house conversion. As such, there is no lift in the building, not recommended for guests who may have mobility problems. The flip side of the walk up the stairs are the sweeping views of the city from the large outdoor space of the terrace.

Walking distance to St. Paul's cathedral, Tate Modern, Tower bridge, etc. Close to 3 metro stops/5 metro lines: Barbican, Old Street and St. Paul's.

Open market on Whitecross is fun and delicious!

Fantastic apartment and perfect for everything we needed. Close to multiple underground stations, lots of grocery stores nearby, and worked perfectly for our family of 4. The bed in the second bedroom is smaller but for our 8 and 6 year it was more than enough. If we have to opportunity to return to London, we will definitely look to see if this apartment is available.

We had a really nice time staying here! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could’ve needed. We stayed with our 2 tweens and it worked out great. The neighborhood was awesome too. We loved both the Chinese and Italian restaurants right across the street. On the street right outside, on the weekdays, it turns into an entire like food market with vendors selling all types of food. It smelled amazing every morning, but it wasn’t loud or disruptive. We were never there for lunch, but it looked so delicious. We had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun London city experience just a little off the main spots, but still super accessible.

The apartment was very nice. Lots of room to spread out. It is bright and cheerful even on some dreary London days. The king bed is very comfortable and the shower was small but great. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. We are in our 70’s and the many stairs (though we’re in pretty good shape) got tiresome. There is a nice washer but no dryer and we couldn’t get the TV to work. It’s a safe, quiet neighborhood and near two tube stations, but it took awhile to get to the action at times. I would recommend it if you don’t mind the stairs or the location. The owner is communicative and delightful. All in all enjoyed our stay

This property was perfect for our needs. It was during a heat wave and the ac in the living room was terrific. The location is close to buses, tube stations, and the Barbican. Also the street food market is at your doorstep. I would recommend staying here to anyone who doesn’t mind climbing there storeys. Also, very comfortable bed in the primary bedroom.

Gorgeous Oasis in the city of London

We loved staying in this very cozy and bright pent house apartment. It has all the amenities needed for making meals that can be enjoyed on the outdoor deck. The location is amazing and the neighborhood is so quiet! A truly wonderful place.

Loved it!!

Loved the property, great neighborhood. Had a wonderful time in London. Only complaint is says Dryer in amenities but does not have one, has a drying rack. Balcony was also unusable due to new decking being put down but will be great when it’s completed. Will stay here again.

4 days in London

This location was nice. The bed rooms were comfortable, but could use fans for the warmer day/nights. The check in process was a little weird, as there wasn’t clear instruction for the door to get into the apartment. Luckily we arrived as the same time as the cleaning person and we were able to drop our bags while she cleaned. The stairs can be a little bit daunting with your luggage, so keep that in mind. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

New Year's visit to London

Stayed here for 3 nights over NYE. This was our first trip to London. Great location -- quiet street, coffee shop next door, restaurants and market close by, short walk to Liverpool Station. Host was very accommodating and great communicator. Comfy beds and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens. Terrace was great.

Wonderful trip

Melina’s property was perfect for us. It had all the amenities we needed, and more. The neighborhood is fun with several pubs and restaurants within a short walking distance. The street market was a special treat during the week. We’d choose a vendor then take it up to the rooftop deck. We were lucky and had good weather almost every day. Melina was extremely helpful and gave us some great recommendations

5-Stars all around

Fabulous location - close to so many things and short walks to 3 different tube stations for connections all over (including both Gatwick and Heathrow). Excellent host - rapid responses to our questions and maximum flexibility for our particular travel itinerary. Place was well equipped, quiet, surrounded by eating places and practically across the road from a grocery store. Lovely rooftop terrace which we determinedly made use of, even though it was November - would love to be here again in the summer. Won’t hesitate to try and stay here again when we come back.

Nice to have outdoor space

This is nice space, the owners have outfitted it thoughtfully by anticipating what travelers might need. The owner was very responsive. The check-in protocol is a little clunky, with a key hidden outside. We were glad that we had a driver to help us get into the building and up the stairs when we arrived at midnight.

Great week in London

This flat was perfect for visiting all of London. The tube stops were easy to walk to and got you easily to every area of London. We grabbed coffee at the downstairs coffee shop each morning on our way out and grabbed dinner and drinks all within walking distance. A grocery store was also close. The weather was unseasonably sunny and warm the week we were there and we used the outside space for drinks and meals. I highly recommend this flat.

Quiet place to stay in busy London

Light and bright (both natural light and lights for nighttime) with plenty of room for 3 adults. Very homey with all of the knick-knacks and books. Had all the necessities to cook simple meals. Just be sure you can climb the narrow stairwell to the top floor. We had lots of luggage as my daughter was packed for a year in London so a little bit of a challenge to get everything up all the stairs. But a great view once you arrive and the cardio wasn’t unwelcome.
