"The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful, only disadvantage were the two flights of stairs up to our room which wasn't the hotel,s fault, but lovely views of the high street when we got up there !!!"

Jenene served us two delicious meals from their cafe. This 600 year old historic hotel is cared for well. Our bathroom was updated and the bed was very comfortable. Five stars all around! "

"Perfect hosts in an amazing building! You would struggle to find more genuine, hospitable and friendly people than Carrie and Mike. Outside there is plenty of parking and beautiful grounds. Step inside, the rooms are generous, clean and with everything you could need. The breakfasts are lovely and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back, thank you! "

"The hotel was lovely, Clean, warm and friendly. I ate in one evening and the food was excellent. Served promptly, hot and plentiful. My experience with the hotel was very good but my experience with hotels.com not good at all. I booked a pay on arrival at the hotel but 3 days beforehand the fee was taken from my bank account to pay a hotel with the same name, but 250 miles away. This led to my bank account being blocked and me being stranded away on holiday without access to my funds. The hotel...
