Great location and rental

This was a perfect location for our family. Right in the heart of it all but still quiet and comfortable. Very clean and very responsive hosts.

The apartment is in the perfect location if you want to eat and great, quaint places with very fun night life. The apartment was spotless and was larger than the photos. Would stay here again, no doubt.

Lovely Place and Super Location!

This place could not have been more perfect for our two couples. It was roomy and with 2 primary suites we had our own private space with a main living area to enjoy each others company. We would stay here again in a heartbeat should we come to Lisbon again!

Excellent stay

Joao greeted us at check in and was gracious and charming and gave great tips for restaurants. Location was excellent for touring Lisbon sights. The layout of the apartment worked really well. Highly recommend.

Great place

This was a very comfortable, well located apartment. You are steps away from tons of restaurants and shops. The host was responsive, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet stay in the heart of the nighlife

You could easily be in the middle of fado, gay nightlife and great city ambience with little inconvenience to your sanity. Great location, clean, helpful host and close to transport. We really lucked out!

4 night visit

Nice location, looks like pictures, little noise in front rooms at night but bedrooms quiet. Well appointed but could use a small microwave, and the shower temps take some patience to adjust. Lots of great restaurants in the area and convenient to Praca Camoes. I would stay again.

Fabulous stay

We had a wonderful time. Their property is in a great neighborhood, and if you enjoy music and late night restaurants/bars this has that. Our hosts communicated in advance, during and after our stay. 5 stars.

Beautiful space and great location!

Wonderful top condo in the Bairro Alto area. Walk outside to a street filled with charm and character. So many restaurants, shops, and bars to choose. Great central location to Bairro Alto, Chiada, Alfama. All so walkable. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Great apartment

Clean, convenient and comfortable for our short but sweet trip to Lisbon. Would very much recommend the apartment. Property management was very helpful and communicative with any questions we had. The apartment has all the necessities you will need. Check in and out process was very easy.

Loved it

Very comfortable for two couples traveling together. Joao met us and was very helpful getting us settled into the apartment. Well furnished in the kitchen, bathrooms. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine and pastries for the morning.

Wow! Perfect place for two couples! Everything was amazing! It’s 4 flights up but the place is ultra cool, has every amenity you would want and has all the luxury you need! Highly recommend this place!!!! Amazing!!!

Absolutely lovely

Absolutely beautiful apartment in Barre Alto area of Lisbon. The apartment is very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood is it's own experience, full of positive energy. I have never worked with such gracious hosts. We will definitely be back and will plan a longer stay.

Perfect location to explore Lisbon

This was the perfect location to explore Lisbon. Leo made our check in a breeze and was an absolute gem in making recommendations and checking in to see if there was anything that was needed during our trip. We were within walking distance of anything we needed. As noted in other reviews there are stairs to navigate. We didn’t mind because it helped burn some of the many calories we were consuming!

An amazing apartment!

This was one of our very favorite European VRBO experiences. The neighborhood was delightful - full of nightlife and activity. But our bedrooms were totally silent. We loved having air conditioning. It was a heat wave while we were in town. And we enjoyed the layout of the apartment - lots of privacy and a nice pullout couch for our 14 year old. Our hosts were also kind and accommodating. I really can’t say nice enough things about them and the whole stay!

Excellent location, great apartment, quiet bedrooms

Our stay was excellent overall. Family of four, older daughters (17, 20). Apartment had excellent beds, everything you could need and was lovely. Quiet bedrooms (courtyard facing) even though it’s right in the middle of the entertainment area. Seemed very safe. You can walk to everything from great sights, great food/wine, pastry, grocery etc. Welcomed with wine and pastel de nata and friendly check in. The shower temperature is a little challenging to dial in I guess was only critique we could think of. Excellent VRBO and I would highly recommend.

Amazing stay!

Jorge’s apartment was amazing. His brother, João, was so friendly and helpful. He was able to greet us and hold our luggage until we could check in. He gave us a very thoughtful welcome gift and great recommendations. I took the car suite and my brother took the dog suite. Was very comfortable with lots of character, yet clean and modern. The ac worked great. Couldn’t beat the location. Waking distance to everything and party right outside our door, yet quiet when windows are closed. Can’t wait to return!

Private, Clean, great location and beautifully decorated

Casa de Barroca was awesome! The place was spacious, clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated! It was in a great location and we felt like we were living like locals. We were in the center of town and able to walk all of Lisbon easily! The apartment was set up great with bedroom suites on either side that allowed for privacy. It had everything we needed for our stay. Jorge was great to work with! Very responsive to our questions before arriving as well as while we were there. The only challenge was that cars aren’t able to reach the apartment, so we had to be let out by our Uber driver a few blocks away; however, for that inconvenience everything else about the apartment and location much outweighed that. I would recommended Casa de Barroca and would definitely stay there again next time we visit Lisbon!

Lisbon Vacation

The apartment was great, very clean, very modern. The owner's brother, Joao, who was super nice met us at the apartment to check us in. Not only was Joao very efficient with checking us in he gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and drink...he even brought pasteis de nata from the bakery around the corner which were incredible. Despite the apartment being right in the Bario Alto it was very quite with the windows closed. Because of the retractable car barriers in the Bario Alto our cab driver had a hard time getting us to the front door. It's much easier to get dropped off at the Praca Luis de Camoes (the 24 and 28 trams also stop there), and walk the one block up and one block over to get to the apartment. We would certainly stay there again.
