nice house close to Holmes park

Great location within walking distance of Holmes Park. The house was newly redone with 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor (one with an ensuite bathroom) and a 2nd full bath in the hall. There was a 3rd full bath in the basement. It had a nice private back yard. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the towels were nice and plush.

Dissapointed. Clearly a quick flip short term rental

Communication before arriving was positive and timely and they were great about our request to arrive an hour and a half ahead of our 4 pm check in. unfortunately the house was a disappointment for the price. First off, there is not one blind or window treatment in any of the bedrooms bathrooms or anywhere in the house for that matter. This is unacceptable for a rental, not only for security and peace of mind but also for privacy and sleeping comfort. Bright sun shines directly into your eyes at the crack of front side of the home and the upstairs rooms heat up quickly during the day because of this as well. The furniture is as minimal as it gets, there is no where to gather with space for more than 3 people. The little they do have is cheap and very uncomfortable. The beds are new but the mattresses are very thin, more like a cot mattress and slide around on the bed frame. The deck furniture has no cushions. The hot water does not work in the master bedroom. Basement shower was not at all clean. So we were down to one shower out of 3. The house is extremely over lit with 35 ceiling can lights in the main living area with no dimmers it is so bright it feels like you are in an interrogation room. We resorted to having the lights on in adjacent room and off in room we were in so it wasn’t so overpowering. Bottom line with cost of rental and all the fees save yourself the trouble and choose a hotel for your visit you will be much more comfortable.
