Brief trip to the Dales

Cottage and location were lovely. Booking and check-in information was complicated because vrbo listing directed us to cottages.com. Telephone number for learning about key collection was not answered. Day before arrival key collection had to be chased via cottages.com. Highly recommend Fox and Hounds for an evening meal.

A very clean and comfortable cottage with excellent parking.

A very clean and comfortable cottage with excellent parking. The weather was great for October but we found we needed the central heating to keep us warm evenings and mornings. We had a problem with the heating but the owner came over immediately and sorted it out. The cottage had a wood burner and a small amount of wood was provided. The fire unfortunately was not very efficient and soon went out. However the heating kept us warm. TV was also a problem but again the owner provided a new set top box and all was well.We couldn’t have asked for more consideration and we had an excellent week. Immaculately clean throughout with a very comfortable bed. Cozy lounge, with lovely log burner and central heating. The kitchen was well equipped, with a big fridge freezer. The village location was perfect lovely pub, and surrounding countryside. Great field adjacent cottage for walking dog, with really nice shared garden. Highly recommended to dog owners, as there are lots of fabulous walks and waterfalls locally. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
