Everything was great until the day came for my room to be cleaned. When I returned to my room that day, my bed was freshly made... however, the drawers where I had carefully put my clothing had been disturbed and rifled through. And missing from my room was the full bottle of water that I'd brought and put by the bed, my personal soap and soap dish that I travel with (as my skin is sensitive) and an apple. Needless to say, I was hardly able to sleep that night as this violation was so disturbing. The next day, I also noticed that my spare room key (that I'd left on top of the dresser was missing) so I immediately had my room keys rekeyed. The manager kindly went out and purchased me the soap that is comfortable for my skin. And apparently because I purchased my stay through Expedia, there was nothing the hotel could do to reimburse me for my lack of sleep or uncomfortable experience or my stolen property (with the exception of the soap.) I am not ordinarily a complainer but this situation was exceptionally wrong and distressing and not what I expect when traveling.
The staff were always friendly and helpful and said they would be looking into this incident so it wouldn't happen to any future guests.
