The Countrypolitan's modern decor coupled with efficient design creates your "home away from home" in the "suburbs" of downtown, Victorian Lewisburg! Here for business or pleasure, the home was designed for authentic relaxation and rejuvenation! Short or long term, Bucknell/SU/PSU/LLWS/Arts Fest/ChridstKindl and other Lewisburg/Selinsgrove/Mifflinburg/Milton weekends, weddings, family hosting, & the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail are just a few reasons guests visit The Countrypolitan all year long.

The Countrypolitan was completely remodeled in 2019. Our decor and furniture choices are meant to create your oasis of serenity in a cozy and comfy atmosphere. The Countrypolitan offers all the space you really need in a great residential neighborhood that is quiet yet always very welcoming.

We have a 0% tolerance pet policy not because we do not love animals but because we want to respect all future guests who may have pet allergies.

We only clean the house with Norwex products so no harsh chemicals are used on our floors, surfaces, linens, etc. Julie reps the Norwex line so she can receive the discount. If you would like to take advantage of the same 35% discount (and sometimes higher), let Julie know and she will hook you up!

We do everything we can to make ourselves available as much, or as little, as you need. Trust us, we have plenty of work and play to keep us busy during our days and nights but love helping guests learn more about the area or offer suggestions on local places that may suit your interests! We also understand you may arrive with a full slate of activities already planned so if you don’t need us, we will not be offended:)!

The Countrypolitan is located in the “suburbs” of downtown, Victorian Lewisburg. The neighbors have all been very friendly to us while being a quiet neighborhood at the same time. Friendly + Quiet is our kind of neighborhood! We would be surprised if you did not see several neighbors taking walks past The Countrypolitan with their 4-legged friends during your stay. Located only a block from the edge of the Bucknell Golf Course, and about 1.5 miles from the nearest Buffalo Valley Rail Trail entrance, there is plenty of active, outdoor options to keep you energized. If you choose to enjoy our screened-in back porch, keep your eyes wide open as you may see one of our white-tail deer friends wander through the yard.

Swim Weekend

We were in town for a swim meet at Bucknell. The house was perfect as listed. It worked for us as we needed to go back and forth to the natatorium several times a day so location was perfect. The neighborhood is super cute. The communication was great and the check in process super easy. If we are back for another swim meet would stray again

Wonderful house!

We loved staying at this home! It was clean, the kitchen was filled with everything we needed to cook, the beds were comfortable, and the screened porch was lovely to hang out on. We also loved the quiet neighborhood and took walks all weekend.

Perfect

This home is perfect and so close the Bucknell University. We were able to sleep peacefully and cook all of our meals easily. This made the 2nd time we stayed in this home. We were excited for our return. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Everyone was friendly.

Great for our family

We were traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Countrypolitian was in a safe neighborhood that I enjoyed walking in the morning. It was spacious and well kept. We will be back to visit again.

A nice place to stay and great location

First, Julie's communication and the instruction paper at the house were a breeze. The house was recently remodeled and offers new appliances, including a full size washer and dryer. The home is welcoming, clean, and comfortable. We had four guests and each had our own rooms, sharing two full baths. We cooked several of our meals and had easy access to a nearby grocery store. The beds were comfortable and the two sitting areas and screened in porch allowed for ample space to gather or spread out and chill. The exterior stairwell has some debris and dirt from recent rains. Not a problem to walk around outside. Just need shoes in the laundry area and a mat to avoid tracking it around the house.
