Great girls trip lakehouse!

A group of girlfriends and I recently stayed here and loved it! The house is very charming and well maintained. Beautiful views of the water, the backyard fire pit, and hammock were our favorite. Location is quite far from most things, so be prepared to drive, but we loved it and hope to book again for next summer!

We selected this property for its location and amenities. Worked perfectly for our fishing trip, lake access, and space. Having an on property boat launch was just the best. House was perfect for our needs.

restful retreat

Welcoming home, great lawn, beach, water access. The view of the lake was gorgeous and home had all the amenities we needed. Enjoyed badminton on the lawn, swimming, pontoon boat, movie night, bird watching and just having a lovely private place to enjoy with family. Hostess was very responsive and friendly. Will consider coming again !

Valentines Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. Everything we needed for a quiet weekend was here. The house was very clean and orderly. Beautiful view of the lake from both inside the house and the back yard. Definitely a place that we would like to return.

USC family weekend stay

We had a great stay with our son while visiting from the Northeast for family weekend. We chose to be on Lake Murray and not stay in Columbia this time to give us some room to stretch out with 2 teenagers. We wanted our son to be able to get a break from his small shared dorm room and have his own space for the weekend which this house was perfect for. We knew this meant a 45 minute drive each way to get back and forth to USC for all the activities but we were willing to do that instead of staying in a small overpriced hotel room. The time this was most inconvenient was after an evening football game. Having had a long day that ride seemed especially long. The house is spacious and clean with great views of the lake. The host was very easy to communicate with and very responsive when we were unable to find the paddles for the kayaks and offered to reimburse us to purchase new ones when they could not be located. The house had everything we needed (including a toaster-it was in the laundry room closet) We rented jet skis for a day which was a blast. I’m not familiar with the bug situation in South Carolina and the grass lawn out back was beautiful but almost unusable because of how many bugs would come out if you walked across it. Maybe that’s commonplace in SC but was something I was not familiar with. Overall an amazing trip and our kids really enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again while visiting our USC student. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Wonderful Lake Murray Getaway

This property was as advertised—lovely, quiet, clean, well provisioned. Only problems were caused by electrical storms with the tv setup and entry needing resetting, but the owners and property manager were quick to assist. Would definitely go back!

Pictures dont show real deal Property needs maintance floors are separated slip and fall hazard Smoke dector hanging from ceiling No comfortably seating Sofa very low to floor Lights not working upon arrival breaker was flipped Mold in basket in room Grass to long to enjoy outdoors....bugs inside unit .....No water pressure in shower....no welcome basket no great communication hole in ceiling bathroom also Was told about some conditions upon arrival scared me ....last time VRBO was great disapointed in this one I have pictures Girlfriends Retreat after my Mom Died Top dollar should be better than this Axcess to property difficult Sofas are floor

Wonderful Lake Vacation

What a great property and house! The lot is bigger than others I've seen on Lake Murray and having the yard, sandy area, and fire pit right next to the lake was awesome. The star of the house is the view! The windows in the living room makes you feel like you're outside There aren't a lot of close restaurants, but we chose to stop by the grocery store on the way in and eat our meals at the house. We did venture out for Mexican at San Jose once less than 10 minutes away that is also set on the lake and while small has a decent amount of room inside. The house is on a dirt road, so we didn't take advantage of the bikes offered, but once you're there there's really no reason to leave! There were plenty of bath and beach towels offered. The kitchen and pantry are well stocked (only suggestion would be a toaster). We felt right at home. Highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely book again! My seven year old asked to go back every break! :)

Good and Bad

This home is nice and clean.However it is not for older people who cannot access the outside activities.Therefore the home is important.!The beds were high and the toilets and sofas very low. Very low lighting everywhere so impossible to read anywhere at night. The TV was challenging. Great for younger families who want to be outside. Lots of activities available. Owners were nice but not close enough to be helpful with any issues. Go and enjoy if you can.

Lake house Getaway

Overall the house was perfect for our family vacation! Communication with the owners were quick and helpful. For ones with boats, the ramp is accessible, a little narrow, but I was able to unload and load my 22’ pontoon. Made it so much better not having to coordinate taking the pontoon to the nearest landing. The house was big enough for my family and my brothers family. The kitchen/dining/livingroom being open was great to be able to take care of things and keep eyes on the little ones. Only thing I saw that needs attention would be having pest control do a thorough spray of the house for critters and cleaning the mess from them, but I know being beside a lake, insects is a norm haha. Definitely would stay again if we stay on the lake again. Thanks for having us!

Lakefront Getaway

We had a great stay at the lakehouse. The lake was beautiful and the kids had a blast on the dock. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. The place was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The location has a secluded feel, but is only about 20 minutes away from the big grocery store and about 45 minutes away from Columbia.

Lovely getaway

This was the ideal property for our long weekend getaway. It's spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and is so peaceful and quiet. The dock and firepit are so inviting and the yard is great for trying the hand at cornhole (provided!). Clara thank you for great communication. We loved our time.

A getaway for Mom

We visit Mom every year, she is 95. We decided to book a home instead of staying in a hotel to give Mom a little getaway as well. It gave us time to really visit. The views of this home are amazing and you can just stare out at the lake forever. This property had everything we need, very clean and nicely appointed. It is secluded and quiet which for us was perfect. The couches are very low, so hard for and elderly person to get out of but the chairs in the living area worked perfect. We will definitely stay at this property again.
