With picturesque views of the Wenatchee River and the Cascade Mountains, this riverfront, dog-friendly cabin is perfect for your next family vacation or group getaway. Grill up your favorite meals and dine outside on the patio. With a private path to the riverbank, your group can easily spend hours kayaking, tubing, and fishing throughout the summer.

What’s nearby:
The scenic community of Plain is one and a half miles away, where you'll find wine tasting at Plain Cellars, a summertime farmers market, souvenirs and cross-country ski rentals at Plain Hardware, and a couple of dining options. Lake Wenatchee State Park is six miles away, offering a great spot for swimming, boating, or hiking. In the winter, the park features over 10 miles of cross-country ski trails as well. If you're searching for more dining and shopping, annual festivals, and an abundance of charm, be sure to make the beautiful 15-mile drive to the Bavarian-inspired village of Leavenworth.

Things to know:

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Just an incredibly well kept property. Very quiet and tranquil. Immediately felt at home when my wife and I walked in as did both our doggies. Very clean and a great selection of DVD movies! Place has ALL you need with a fantastic view of the river. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

The inside of the house was OK. The kitchen could be better supplied. The bedroom worked out great. The outside needs a lot of work. We couldn’t believe the amount of junk scattered all around. The collapsed garage and dilapidated Lowe deck should be removed from the property. They are a hazard. I think I’ll skip this rental the next time.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed the 3 days, everything was nice and cleaned and comfortable, very calm and relaxing, the starter pack was more than enough for a family of 4, Not too far from downtown Leavenworth , only downfall was maybe they could of cut the grass in the front property to make it presentable and the trash can outside was full, we couldn’t throw the trash away. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.

Perfect location

We had a great weekend here. It's very dog friendly, it's open concept and couches are covered to allow dogs to be on them as well. It's perfect location on the river and close to Plain and Lake Wenatchee. You can walk to Plain via pesdestrian bridge about a mile down the road for about a 30-40 min walk to Old Mill Cafe, Plain Hardware and ski trails. It's a steep walk to get to the river at the property but it provides beautiful view! Currently the house number isn't out at the street so it's easy to miss.

The cabin was beautiful, but upon our arrival going into the bathroom, first thing we find is three dead bugs, a spider and beetles in the butt bathtub dead my husband almost had a severe head injury from the TV shelf that is so dangerously in the way has a noodle on it, but of course it slid off. You could bash your brains out, going into the bathroom very dangerous, I’ve stayed in over 50 B&B‘s and this is the second time I’ll ever complain about one. The furniture was grotesque absolutely filthy the white couches we had to put towels on them. They had sheets on them cushions. We put towels over the arm rest just have a place to set , the dishes in the cupboard weren’t any better coffee pot was filthy and all the dishes they look like they got it Goodwill they probably have better at Goodwill and the linens on the bed were stained. Thank God we brought a few throws from our house that’s what we use for our bedding . The nice outdoors that you see where you could have a fire they didn’t scrape the snow so you couldn’t even use the outdoor fire pit which was really disappointing. Plus they don’t even give you a house number to find the cabin you would just have to figure it out on your GPS that you went by it . There is no cable or TV other than a bunch of movies and in the master bedroom you can’t even watch anything cause there’s nothing hooked up to the TV. Tell the owners definitely doesn’t care about the customers comfort. It’s no 15 mins to town it’s 40 in snow. Beware!

Quiet getaway

Very nice, comfortable cabins with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Clean and lots of amenities. We enjoyed the puzzles, tv and snow! Couldn’t find any directions on what we needed to do prior to check out.

Quiet spot by the river

Quiet spot by the river about 20 minutes from Leavenworth. Was really nice to make a cup of cocoa and sit outside enjoying the view. Just my husband and our small dog on this trip, the king size bed was very comfortable. The cabin was very well stocked with spices, a lot of movies and games to play. My suggestions for the owner: • A dark couch or leather.. it won’t show wear as much especially with allowing dogs. • Move furniture to look at opposite wall than you have it now.. the tv would be much better on the large wall. It is hazardous where it is placed now with the shelf below when coming out of bathroom we both almost ran into it. • A coffee pot.. I saw filters but maybe someone broke pot before we came? • Replace kitchen faucet.. it’s hard to maneuver with the piece missing. • A stopper in bathtub would be nice 😊 Such a large tub but unable to take a bath. • Barbecue needs to be replaced or fixed.. was unable to light it. These items were not deal breakers!! We loved the place. Just wanted to bring them to your attention. Thanks for a great time!

Great property with access to the river!

My friend, her 2 kids and my 2 dogs loved the property. The kids and dogs had a great time exploring the property and going down the trail to play in the river. My friend and i enjoyed sitting on the back patio enjoying the river view during the day and the stars at night. Rooms were spacious and location was great for visiting Leavenworth. There's a grocery store and restaurant within a 5 min drive. It's extremely peaceful and quiet and you can hear the church bells on Sunday.

Overall thought the property was great. Only issue was with teenage children and not having cable television. DVD system was also confusing as we had to use the playstation. Very comfortable as it had all the necessities.

Winter wonderland

Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was warm and had everything we needed. A lot of snow, but we had no issues getting in and out of the driveway (with a 4WD). Our dog also loved the ‘new place’ and all the snow.

Great place to enjoy some peace and quiet!

Wonderful cabin, especially since the owner seems to understand that dogs are important parts of many families! even allowing pets, this rental is clean and well appointed. Plenty of items to make the stay more convenient. We had some amazing BBQ in the nearby town of Plain as well! The only drawback to this rental right now is that the outdoor areas need attention. Cosmetically in the front, but the trail down to the river could be difficult for anyone older or for children. A safer trail down to the river would really help certain family members not to be isolated from the group. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!

Not what we expected...

We stayed at this property for three nights, and found it lacking the details we usually expect from VRBO properties. Here are things we found disappointing and reasons we would not rent here again: Yard in poor shape - overgrown weeds and construction materials are the first thing we saw when we arrived;. A broken piece of plywood and a log covering part of the septic. Basically, the yard was definitely unusable. Path to the river is steep and dangerous; second deck damaged and in disrepair, also dangerous with a broken railing. Tree debris everywhere. Chairs are old and in disrepair. Inside the house - soiled cream colored sofas, broken door frame for one bedroom, no broom, smell of cigars, badly scratched floors under the sofas and scratched doors, barbecue was dirty. Shelf below TV is in a dangerous location close to bathroom door and at eye level...hit the corner once in the face and several near misses. This needs to be addressed. There were some good things too -. The king bed was comfortable, the house was cute despite the drawbacks listed, and the neighbors were quiet. Overall, the house is quaint but needs some attention to details, especially the grounds to bring the rental value up to what they are charging. As is, we would not rent here again.

This cabin is great!

Close to Leavenworth but far enough away for piece and quiet. Cabin has a great layout and awesome view of the river. Trail to the river is a little overgrown so it was difficult to get down to the edge. The outside area is functional and private, however, there’s potential for a fantastic outdoor space hopefully in the future. Dogs loved it. Look forward to the next visit.

Not clean and cabin needs attention

The house wasn't clean. I cleaned the one toilet that hadn't been properly scrubbed in a while and smelled bad. The sofas, sofa pillows, etc were very dirty. Found pretzels, dirt & rocks under cushions. Dishes and utensils were put away dirty. The carpets all needed cleaning. The house had lots of dust and cobwebs. Broken window frame/lock, scratched up floors, slats on bunk bed missing, sofa bed broken, broken kitchen cabinet, interior door frame broken. Batteries in PS4 remote to control tv, were dead and didn't charge and no available charging cable. Exterior - unfinished shed with old Tyvex that blew around, piles of construction wood and junk left around the property. Old outdoor grill, not an amenity. Deck to the river broken. Yard not picked up from previous dogs.

Beautiful location

This really is a lovely spot right on the river. The house is cute and comfortable. Only 25 minutes from Leavenworth and only 5 to Plain which has an adorable grocery, hardware/gift shop, and restaurant. My only complaints...1. the kitchen is really not set up to do any major cooking. There is only a single mixing-type bowl and no non-metal spatulas to use with the non-stick pans (which is probably why they are in the shape they are). It's certainly adequate for light cooking but don't plan to do a dinner party here. 2. is that the curb appeal of the home is pretty lacking. There are piles of unused construction materials, an unfinished shed, and the field in front of the house is just weedy and not very attractive. However that is all purely aesthetics and the view out the back of the home to the river is lovely.

Great home in the Mountains

The home is about 27 min away from the town. It is a bit of a drive especially in the snow. The drive is so beautiful with the snowy mountains all around. The house was in a beautiful location. We are very satisfied with our stay. We would come back again the following holiday.
