    The Space:

    Tucked away among lofty evergreens in the quiet woods of Langley, this two-story cabin makes a wonderful Whidbey Island retreat. Whether you're seeking solitude, relaxation, or easy access to town, beaches, and trails, you'll find it all at The Hideaway.



    This cabin sits at the end of a dead-end road, on a forested piece of property that it shares with the owner's main home. It's a beautiful location that's both serene and convenient, with downtown Langley's shops, restaurants, events, and scenic waterfront less than two miles up the road. The Clinton Ferry Terminal (six miles), Double Bluff Beach (eight miles), and South Whidbey State Park (13 miles) are all close by as well.



    A covered porch wraps around the house, providing a lovely spot for morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, and everything in between. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by an open living space that's bright, modern, and comfortably furnished.



    Toss the day's hiking clothes in the private washer/dryer and get started on a homemade dinner in the breezy kitchen. Enjoy stainless steel appliances, butcher-block countertops, and space to dine at both the island breakfast bar and the table by the window. At night, curl up with a good book in the living room or head upstairs to the bedroom to log onto the complimentary WiFi at the desk overlooking the forest.

    All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Quiet and calm. Comfortable bed. Not as clean as I would have hoped- lots of dust bunnies and cobwebs, and hair in the shower drain when we arrived. Overall decent stay.

Far away but close enough

Great retreat on the island and in the woods. Close enough to Langley (25 minutes to walk the dog), but it felt very private and peaceful. Fantastic hub for a relaxing weekend- would absolutely stay here again.

Nice getaway

Good weekend in the woods and on the island. Cute cabin very near to Langley (20 minute walk with the dog), yet it felt very private and secluded.Would reserve a space here again!

Perfect in every way. Location, owners, kitchen, everything you would want in a getaway! Peaceful and comfortable. Loved every day of it!

Wonderful hideaway in Langley, WA

This rustic cabin in the woods was perfect for our recent stay. Communication was great, and the cabin was very clean and cute with full amenities. Staying in the cabin was very peaceful and relaxing, and only a 5-minute drive to downtown Langley.

The home was beautiful, inside and out. Bad cellphone service for me, the free Wifi definitely helped out. Thank you!!! Thank you for the free dish soap and detergent. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

Peaceful at the Hideaway

The Hideaway was a great way to enjoy peace and quiet and nature! It was very clean well kept. The bed needs a little cushion and it would be great to have had a tea kettle, but those are minor things.

Cute place in the woods.

My brother and I stayed at this cute cottage in the woods. It was peaceful and quiet. Perfect for out of towners from the big city. Bring eye shades though because the window blinds let in plenty of light. Also the furniture could use some updating in the kitchen and living room.

Sweet break in nature

When I arrived at the Hideaway, I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually better that the photos! The place was immaculate, well planned out, nicely furnished and had a relaxing vibe. I suppose my only issue was that the bathroom was so far away from the bedroom upstairs (nighttime visits) Otherwise, this was a great property for someone seeking true quiet and privacy.

Issues began with electronic code not working on door. Got ahold of property manager to get key box open. Not very many kitchen supplies. No cell coverage. When booked I asked about fireworks nearby was told it would be quite not the case. When texted contact with issues never heard back them

Loved my stay at the hideaway!

Very private and quiet location! Loved the large covered porch with dog friendly amenities (tie out , water bowl and mutt mitts). The cabin is warm and spacious with custom design details. The kitchen is spectacular, large range, fridge, and butcher block counter with seating. The upstairs bedroom has lots of light with big windows, built in desks and vanity and skylight. A very nice, custom built cabin in a beautiful forest setting.

Not good

Property surrounding the house was great - the house itself was awful - charmless, cheap rundown furniture, fluorescent hospital lighting. It’s clear they put this together as shoddy as possible just to rent it out. Thank god we had other people to visit so we could get out of the house right in the morning and only return to go to bed.

It is a beautiful, natural, wooded, and peaceful setting. The “hideaway” was very spacious and accommodating. The hide-a-bed wasn’t comfortable but it served its purpose. We had several large 🐜 ants crawling around the cabin downstairs; not sure where they came from. Wi-fi was non-existent and no cable tv or anything. Would have been nice to have the option to play dvds, etc. Overall it was a great place to connect with family or friends and enjoy a very nice cabin.

Cabin in the middle of the woods

Very quiet cabin. A bit scary driving into it at night as it is completely dark but there are signs that help guide you. Do not expect to get any cell service in the cabin but the Wifi provided does work, slowly but surely. The heating system upstairs works wonders however it barely works downstairs, so plan to be very cold when you step out of the shower. There are many towels provided as well as blankets, sheets, and pillow cases. The couch downstairs can also be turned into a bed. Overall it is a nice and quiet stay and is near a lot of things to do.
