The host was amazing and very welcoming. It’s the first time that we have ever interacted with the owners of the property and made us feel welcome. First Light is an adorable place to stay, the view was amazing and even were visited by the local deer. This property was very clean, nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything a good selection of utensils, pans & dishes for our stay. The bedroom upstairs was comfortable and nicely decorated as well. There is also a nice neighborhood trail to go for a walk. We wiil definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at First Light . The hosts were very welcoming and eager to make our stay comfortable. The location couldn't have been better with an amazing view of the Sound and a great deck to sit out and enjoy the sights.

This property is always a delight, but it's the hosts who truly elevate the experience. They’re incredibly thoughtful—stocking the fridge with essentials like coffee, tea, half-and-half, butter, and more to make our stay effortless. A charming place

The unit is cozy and comfortable, well equipped, and offers great views of the water. Steps go up to bedrooms on the upper floor. Mary and her husband are readily available for any needs that might arise.

Slice of Heaven!

We stayed a week in this perfect little cabin overlooking the ocean - and it couldn’t have been more lovely. Mary was a lovely host and walked us through some pointers when we checked in. After that, she was very responsive to our questions (minutes), but honored our privacy, which we appreciated. The cabin was the cleanest home we’ve ever rented - spotless! - and had so many thoughtful touches that we couldn’t possibly list all of them. The beds were extremely comfortable, the TV entertainment was easy to access, and the outdoor space and deck were outstanding! We spent hours just soaking up the view, sunshine and cool breezes. We were also thoroughly entertained by the local hummingbirds and deer that came to enjoy the beautiful flowers and garden. The location was super convenient to town and to several local wineries. This was a perfect retreat and we hope to visit again!

This was the second time here for us and we absolutely love it. The property is spectacular, and the accommodations are outstanding as well. The view from the deck is so beautiful, it was sometimes hard to leave to go explore the quaint towns in the near by vicinity. We will definitely go back for a third time and more.

LOVE

I so highly recommend your staying here! I've vacationed here four times, and every time we start to plan our next trip even before we leave. It has everything you need, including a beautiful deck with gorgeous views. Its proximity to Langley is icing on the cake. This time we took the ferry over to Port Townsend for the day - so fun!

Lovely getaway

We had such a lovely stay. Mary and Mark were incredibly gracious hosts and we felt so fortunate that they shared their beautiful property with us. The pictures did not do justice to the serenity of being in their cabin-like home. It was clean, homey, and had everything you could need. The surrounding area was perfect for taking walks - or drive into nearby Langley for delicious food and drinks. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.

Quiet and serene, beautiful view, and reasonably priced especially for short stays. Excellent attention to detail on the small, but meaningful things, like having an electric blanket for watching hummingbirds on the deck, providing real half-n-half with a Nespresso frother, snacks, plenty to do inside and beyond.

Wonderful Whidbey Island Vacation

This was our third time staying here. Mary and Mark are wonderful hosts and they have made their place such a relaxing place to enjoy Langley and Whidbey Island. We enjoyed the comfy bed, plentiful blankets, and coffee in the morning while sitting out on the porch enjoying the beautiful view of the water and mountains in the distance. It was definitely a great place to unwind.

Excellent hospitality

Mary and Mark were amazing hosts. They provided us with so many great tips on the local area and were so kind. The property itself was lovely with every possible amenity and comfortable beds. They even provided coffee! The views from the property are unparalleled, and we loved sitting on the deck watching the water. We are definitely planning to come back for a longer stay.
