Property manager could have handled this better and left us feeling poorly treated.
The house was spacious and clean, and aircon greatly appreciated. The upstairs bathroom was a little tired and some towels need replacing but bedrooms had new carpet which was very comfy to walk on. There was no iron or ironing board despite being advertised. All teflon coated pans were flaking and therefore unsafe for cooking. Cutlery was inadequate for the number of guests advertised to stay in the house and were mostly child-sized. Dryer has no knob, dryer needs to be manually turned off, so is a fire hazard if you dont know this by a simple note. The washing machine was full of incomplete washing, with a wet doona and 2 wet mattress protectors. The dryer was full of wet towels, bath mats, face washers etc. To be able to use the laundry facilities I had to feed it all through the dryer and fold it up to move it out of the way. I told the owners this had happened and they were apologetic however offered no gesture in appreciation that I was a paying guest and was compelled to finish the washing from the previous people. I have had no response to any message I have sent since I suggested the gesture. Absolute silence. Is Vrbo able to follow this up for me please? A refund of 1 nights stay should be made given the frustrations and lack of action. I have included a photo of the household washing I had to finish and leave on the side of the laundry so I could use the facilities for our own washing.
