Located just 3 km from the Westerschelde estuary, Lamswaarde is an ideal base for peace seekers and nature lovers. You can enjoy walking and cycling through the characteristic Zeeland countryside. After an active day of cycling, swimming, or discovering hidden places around Terneuzen, it's a nice place to unwind.

In the surrounding area, there are numerous fun excursions suitable for both young and old. For example, visit the Liberation Museum Zeeland for an impressive insight into the Battle of the Scheldt, or enjoy a day of fun at Toversluis in Sluis. Nature lovers will enjoy the Aardenburg Havenpolder, a small-scale nature reserve with a rich mix of grassland, marshland, pollard willows, pools and reed beds. Nearby Hulst is also a must: in this historic fortified town, you will find, among other things, 's Landshuis, whose garden has been transformed into a sculpture garden—a beautiful resting place right in the centre. From here, you can also take a look at the old prison cells and the former stables
