Welcome to Chateau Blu, a charming France inspired mountain retreat perfect for romantic anniversaries, family vacations, and serene escapes from the city.
You will have the entire 1,500 sq. ft. house all to yourself which consists of: 1st Level: Game room (Detached). 2nd Level: Kitchen, Living Room, Full Bathroom (Standing Shower), Deck. 3rd Level: Main Bedroom (Queen Bed, Dresser, Standing Desk, Deck), Second Bedroom (Queen Bed, Wardrobe, Standing Desk, Monitor), Shared Bathroom (Bathtub, Washer/Dryer).
Fully Stocked Kitchen Bertazzoni 36” Master Range ***Please note: only the upper flame is functional, and starting the lower oven burner requires a specific technique due to the design. Safety - Parents, please supervise your children at all times. - Fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, CO2 detectors and emergency flashlights have been placed throughout the entire house. - DO NOT leave the fire burning unattended. Never leave the cabin with a live fire whether its fireplace, grill or firepit.
- BBQ Grill, Firepit and Fireplace - We provide a gas tank for the BBQ and firepit when you are there. If you run out of gas let us know and we will provide a spare one for you. - Firewood is NOT provided.
Cleaning - Please note that the house will be professionally cleaned before your arrival but as with any mountain property, in very rare case you might see an occasional bug.
Household Amenities - Our home is designed with your needs in mind, providing hangers, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, iron & ironing board and laundry detergent.
Pets - Unfortunately we have a NO PET policy due to us being allergic to animal hair and dander.
Free Parking - Only 2 Cars are allowed to park in the driveway (strictly enforced by the County).
Guess Access - Self check-in with a digital lock that requires a unique code to enter. This code is reset after each guest`s stay. Early check-ins and late check-outs can be accommodated as bookings allow.
Security Cameras - We have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the exterior of property only. They are located on the front entry door and side of the house (facing the driveway). These are security cameras focused on the entryways and designed to maintain privacy while enjoying our home.
Public Lakes and Trails - The area is home to three public lakes that cater to both locals and visitors: Lake Gregory, Green Valley Lake, and Big Bear Lake. Each lake offers a unique array of recreational activities, including walking paths around the lakes, swimming areas, water slides, options for renting boats and fishing spots. Additionally, the area offers multiple state parks and a variety of trail networks, some of our favorite trails are at Dogwood Family Campground, Heaps Peak Arboretum and Will Abel Memorial Trail.
Arrowhead Lake Access - While Lake Arrowhead is a private lake you can still enjoy it by visiting Lake Arrowhead Village or taking a boat tour on the Arrowhead Queen. For additional access to the lake and trails you can visit the Arrowhead Lake Association STR office in the village at 28200 CA-189 suite 03-150 Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352 and purchase day passes for you and your guests. $10/per day per guest & 17 and under are free.
Public Parks - We highly recommend Mackay Recreational Park (3.7 mile drive) with its breathtaking views of the lake, kids playground, basketball court, pickleball court and even outdoor fitness equipment.
Winter Snow Season - During winter season we sometimes experience a very large snow accumulation. It`s essential to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle or carry snow chains, as the CHP requires them for mountain travel during snowy conditions. Our property includes a plowing service that clears the driveway and walkways after a substantial snowfall (6 inches or more) before your arrival. However, snow may continue to accumulate after the initial clearing. While we don`t offer shoveling services during your stay, shovels and de-icing salt are available for your use. Should you need additional shoveling assistance, please reach out to us, and we might be able to organize extra help for a fee. In case of heavy snow, we might not able to clear the decks, focusing only on maintaining pathway access. We appreciate your understanding as snow removal services diligently work to keep the roads accessible.
Covid 19 Compliance - We prioritize your health and safety by implementing a rigorous and thorough cleaning routine – including sanitizing countertops, doorknobs, bathrooms, and other high contact areas.

Our home is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood In your first message please tell us a little about your trip.
1. NO SMOKING on the property. We live in a HIGH RISK area for fire. No vaping, e-cigarettes, hookah or the like inside the home or on the grounds. 2. NO PARTIES are allowed. If it’s determined that the house was rented for a party the SHERIFF will be called and the reservation will be cancelled immediately with no refund. The house and neighborhood is not suitable for parties or large gatherings or celebration events. Failure to follow will result in eviction by third-party security services. 3. DO NOT leave fire unattended. NO CHARCOAL grills - it is illegal in the San Bernardino mountains. Guest must close the fireplace screen door while burning wood. 4. NO ANIMALS of any kind are permitted on the property due to owner’s allergies. 5. Minimum age of at least one staying guest should be 25 years old. 6. Our vacation rental permit allows a maximum capacity of 6 people at any time. 7. We have a central heating system, please note we DO NOT have Air Conditioning. 8. PARKING: Please ONLY park in the driveway and DO NOT block our neighbors. Street parking is prohibited by the County. 9. Please use caution when going up or down the stairs outside or the driveway when it is wet. 10. No shoes inside the house. 11. GUEST ACCESS: Guest have access to the entire house except for owner’s closet upstairs and crawl space under the house. Please do not leave doors open. Wild animals including bears and raccoons may enter the house. 12. This is a quiet neighborhood, so please be considerate of other residents when playing music or hanging outside. NO AMPLIFIED SOUND to be played outdoors. 13. DO NOT disable the internet. It monitors critical guest health & safety components like Smoke/ CO2 warnings. 14. No events, photoshoots or filming allowed on property per the County permit restrictions. 15. No unauthorized guests outside of the reservation allowed without prior approval. 16. TRASH: Outdoor trash bins are located to the left of driveway. Be sure to close the trash lids. (This is to keep bears and racoons out of trash.) 17. The owner will not be responsible for personal items left behind. Please double-check all your items before checking out. If you left items behind, please contact us immediately. Gentle reminder that you`ll be staying in our home, so please treat it with care and respect. In case of any damage, please inform us immediately. 18. CRYPTO MINING: We don`t allow any crypto mining or similar activities at our home.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Violation of any of these rules could result in immediate check out without refund, and/or minimum $500 fines and any additional damage charges. Guests assume full responsibility for damages, excessive cleaning charges or missing items from the home due to negligence.
