"Special Owner Talk Story"
This condo has been in our family since the opening of the building. Our grandparents were the original owners, and it's been passed down to us with a lot of love and history attached. They each made their way to Lahaina— one from Wisconsin, one from Ontario, Canada — way back in the 1930s, before World War II. They met there, built their lives in Lahaina (our grandfather worked on the sugar cane plantation & our grandmother was a nurse), and raised their family there. Lahaina is also where our parents got married, where we each got married, and where our grandparents are now buried. It's as close to home as a place can get for our family. When the fires tore through the Lahaina area in 2023, it hit us deeply — this is not a place we just visit, it's a place that's woven into who we are. We hold onto this condo because we want to keep their memory alive and give our own kids and future grandkids a real connection to this history. We hope that staying at our condo gives you a little taste of the magic that has kept our family rooted in Maui for more than 80 years.
