  • Bienvenido a la grosella espinosa Cottage. ¡Lo invitamos a alejarse de todo en una casa de campo con encanto a pocos pasos de las cristalinas aguas del Lago Superior! Privado 600 pies de costa y playa es suya con mucho espacio para nadar y jugar en la hermosa bahía de Chebomnicon. Usted está a pocos minutos de Big Bay State Park, que es un gran acceso para el caminante, ciclista, kayak o aventurero. Puede disfrutar de más de 12 acres de esta ubicación muy privada. La casa de campo se ha actualizado recientemente y tiene capacidad para 6 personas cómodamente con un rey, una reina y un diván con nido en el porche de 3 estaciones (para aquellos que disfrutan durmiendo con los sonidos de la naturaleza y el aire fresco). Tendrá privacidad increíble en nuestra casa y que realmente puede escapar del "ajetreo" de la vida diaria aquí. Hay una videograbadora / DVD para ver películas si lo desea (no hay servicio de televisión). Vamos hacer recuerdos maravillosos de la isla durante su estancia en la grosella espinosa Cottage. Familia y mascotas. 5 min noche. durante meses de verano, pero por favor, póngase en contacto con el propietario para la consideración de estancia más corta. Servicios: 3 porches, utensilios básicos de cocina, microondas (sin lavavajillas), baño completo, ducha al aire libre, chimenea a leña, porche, parrilla de carbón (por favor traiga su propio carbón, líquido para encendedores y leña), y una fogata al aire libre . * Tenga en cuenta los cambios en las playas a lo largo de las estaciones del año depende de muchos factores, y la playa puede ser mayor o menor en diferentes momentos de la temporada.*

We had a wonderful experience at Gooseberry Cottage! Fantastic beach area, breathtaking views, and very accommodating cabin with everything we needed for our family of four. This was a quintessential Madeline Island experience!

We had a great stay. Beach access from the cabin was phenomenal. Listening to Lake Superior from the deck was delightful. The island is very laid back. We loved that the island is dog friendly, so our pups were welcome in most settings. Bayfield is just a ferry ride away for a boat tour of the Apostle islands or other activities.

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location to meet up with our kids to celebrate our 40th!Gooseberry had all we could have asked for and more… cozy home, fully equipped, stunning beach and sunsets! Look forward to returning!

Perfect getaway

We were looking for a cabin/cottage feel, lake access we could enjoy as a family whenever we wanted too, and a place to bring our pup. This location exceeded our expectations and met all our needs. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for making this property available to rent.

Had an awesome 40th birthday with my sisters! The cottage had everything we needed including separate rooms for all 3 of us, fully stocked kitchen, bathroom towels & toiletries, board games, books, WiFi, spectacular views, beach chairs, and peace and quiet! LOVED the beach(it was my favorite)! Loved spending time on the deck drinking coffee. Loved enjoying time inside the cottage with the doors open while the storm blew the first night. The storm knocked over a tree across the driveway blocking us in but the host was able to get a handyman to take care of it in the morning! Then we could head in to town and enjoy Tom’s for my birthday!The bedroom upstairs is the best with surround windows and cozy lights!We do recommend keeping fans on to help with humidity and checking yourselves for ticks.Also, careful on the driveway - lots of DEEP potholes - just take your time.

Family get away

We loved our stay at Gooseberry Cottage. The property was awesome. We loved the private beach and proximity to town and other destinations on the island. Our only regret is not staying a few more days. Thank you for a memorable getaway for our family.

Relaxing stay on Madeline Island

Our stay at Gooseberry Cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was a great home base to explore all that Madeline Island has to offer. The property was very private and peaceful and we had lots of fun on the beach in the lake. The home was very comfortable for our family of 4.

Gooseberry Cottage was the perfect lakeside retreat for our family gathering. The setting is a delight for all the senses. Jeanine is a very responsive host.

Second Stay

This was my second time at this property and I will hopefully keep coming back - the location is great and it is very private. The property has such charm and has great bones. The island has always been a favorite destination and this makes it even more special. Close proximity to Big Bay State Park with excellent hiking trails.

Beautiful Beach

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rustic cottage brought me back to my childhood cabin days and I loved sleeping on the screen porch! The beach was wonderful and my son did a little kayaking. The owner was very responsive to the few questions we had. We enjoyed exploring beautiful Madeline Island.

Great location for our family vacation

Gooseberry cabin was the perfect spot for our family of 4 to get away and enjoy Madeline Island. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, the beach was fantastic to enjoy the lake and watch stars at night. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed and we used a couple of the board games on a rainy day. Thanks for hosting our family 😀

Beach was great. Kitchen was rather disorganized no place for groceries too many of same items and could use a 9 by 12 pan.
