Viatges a L'Ancienne-Lorette

Endroit très propre, accès complètement autonome (pas de personnel). Insonorisation laisse à désirer mais très bien situé.

Easy onsite parking (with fee) and delicious breakfasts at Louise Tavern. Staff is kind and helpful.

This property is well located just inside the walls of the city. It is a lovely old-style building with classic interior. There is no elevator. We wanted to love it but staff issues shifted our evaluation. Each staff member we met was pleasant. Yet, the absence of available staff support was a significant downfall of the property. There was only one staff member present at the front desk. They were required to assist you with anything you needed. So, we were told to wait in lobby for ice at 5:30 pm until three couples were checked in (30 min wait). Another night, I requested 2 plates for dinner at 7pm. Staff told me to wait while they picked up a call for someone making a reservation. I waited 25 minutes (I watched my clock!) when I again interrupted and said I just needed 2 plates. I was told I had to wait but could do so in my room & the plates would be delivered. Over 30 minutes later I returned to the lobby again & learned the staff member had forgotten about my request. Our dinner was delayed an hour. Our room was on the top floor. The bed was comfortable & the room was clean when we arrived. Cleaning staff did not remove dirty dishes (glasses, tea cups, 2 plates) from our room & did not replenish shower soap (completely empty). The bathroom was up a flight of stairs within our room which presented some difficulties in the night. The bathroom was clean. The AC functioned well. Parking was a short walk away in an underground lot.
