"We've stayed at the Grand Excelsior 3 times in the last decade, and although the hotel is spotless, and the common areas are maintained to a very high level-Its time for the hotel furnishings could to be updated. With the influx of modern and renovated hotels within the city of Valetta, the hotel needs to renovate its rooms and bring them into the twenty first century."

"Great apartment hotel room in Msida near the university. Plenty of restaurants and food shops within easy walking distance. Several very nice coffee shops nearby. Bistro77 on the ground floor has really good seafood dishes. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient. The staff was helpful and quite friendly. All around great place to stay. "

"Very nice hotel. Excellent staff that were very polite and helpful, and all spoke very clear English.
No room upgrade for Expedia Advanced member.
Would recommend this hotel whole-heartedly. Great value."
