Welcome to Ocean Dunes 2123! Greet each spectacular sunrise from your bedroom deck overlooking the rare coquina rock formation. Surround yourself with unbeatable ocean views from bounteous living area windows or outside on the living room-covered deck. Subtle spa tones surround you in our calm and casual family room. Cooking is a pleasure in our remodeled kitchen with upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops, upgraded fixtures, lighting, and stainless steel new appliances. A new mattress in the Primary Bedroom Suite was added in Spring 2024!



Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!



Ground Level:

Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, and exterior stairs to the property level.

Elevator to property level

The Fitness Center is directly across the street from our parking lot in walking distance.

The Rec Center pool is open year-round except for holidays or any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.    



Property Level:

Kitchen: full kitchen, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, shaker cabinets, tile backsplash, seating for 4 at the bar.

Dining Room: seating for 4 at the table, with bar top seating for 4.

Living Room: Oceanview, large TV, 1 sleeper sofa, and 2 side chairs.

Deck: access from the living room and master bedroom. Overlooks the ocean. 2 high-top chairs, 4 Adirondack chairs, and 1 lounge chair.

Washer and dryer: located in the kitchen.

Primary Bedroom Suite: Oceanview, queen-size bed, private access to the patio, TV. Ensuite Bathroom: vanity, walk-in shower.

Bedroom 1: Two twin beds, TV.

Full Bathroom: vanity, shower/tub combo.



Parking: Assigned Parking Labeled 2123 - Under Building. Guest parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and lying on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

Electronic entry.



House Rules:

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities 

No smoking

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.



Elevator Policies:

Please note, the elevator is for convenience only and does not guarantee ADA Compliance or Wheelchair accessibility. Although elevators are checked on a regular basis, Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable if the elevator is not operating or functioning properly during your stay. No refunds will be issued for these closures. 



Pool Notice:

Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.



Pet Policy:

No pets allowed. 

**Per Ocean Dunes HOA, no travelers are permitted to bring pets. Owners only.**



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.



Guest Access:

Our properties are individually owned, and our guests will have use of the entire property! Please refer to the listing for details.



The Neighborhood:

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.



After a day outdoors, unwind on your private balcony with a sunset cocktail, or head into town to explore the best of Carolina Beach. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk, ranked one of the Top 10 Boardwalks in the U.S. by Food & Wine, features classic seaside fun—local restaurants, an arcade, ice cream shops, bars, and the famous Britt’s Donuts. In summer, enjoy weekly fireworks and live entertainment, carnival rides, family nights, and Flamingo BINGO. Off‑season brings signature island events like the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival. Getting Around:

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
