Our deluxe end-unit townhome boasts 2 large sliding doors that open to sweeping ocean views. This corner unit has 2 walls of windows that face a spacious green lawn area with Pacific Ocean views just beyond. Enjoy unobstructed ocean views from every downstairs room and the upstairs primary bedroom. Sit and relax on either lanai. You'll be just steps from the pool area, lush with tropical foliage. Downstairs you will find a spacious entry, main living area, dining, kitchen, full bath with shower, and laundry facilities. Upstairs you will enjoy 2 large bedrooms, each with an en suite bath.
Luxurious comfort is to be expected, with all the amenities and tropical furnishings any true Kauai experience could provide. All the beds are plush and brand new! The primary suite has a king bed perfect for gazing out the full-length glass doors that open directly to the blue Pacific. Let the rolling waves soothe you to sleep! The primary bath has double sinks, a bathtub and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom looks down on fragrant gardens and has a peek of the pool area. Here you will find a queen bed along with a single bed. This bath has a single sink and large walk-in shower.
Louvered windows crank open to allow the trade winds to flow throughout. Portable air conditioning units are located in each bedroom for your sleeping comfort on Kauai's warmer nights. (Please note that none of the units at the Poipu Kapili resort have central A/C).

One of the most popular surf spots on the South Side of Kauai is just off-shore from Poipu Kapili. Watch the locals tame the waves! Just beyond the surf is popular scuba site "Sheraton Caves"and great snorkeling can be found at the reefs closer in. Other nearby destinations inculde: Spouting Horn, Allerton Botanical Gardens, Sheraton Beach, World renowned Poipu Beach and beautiful Brennecke Beach.

Poipu Shopping Village is a few hundred yards away. Also within moments is The Shops at Kukiu'ula, with upscale shopping, galleries and many restaurants and cafes, along with a market and drugstore. The shopping area borders the 18-hole Kiahuna Golf Course and the 10-court Kiahuna Tennis Club. Just down the coastline is the 5-Star Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa, offering golf, yoga, and workout facilities to all.
According to Frommer's Online Travel Guide, Poipu Kapili is the premier South Side resort condo complex. Amongst the plantation-style buildings, you will find a relaxed atmosphere and impeccably-kept grounds. With only 60 units in the entire complex, you'll never be crowded. Find two tennis courts, pickleball, a garden for harvesting your own fresh herbs for dinner, and a well-staffed front office. The pool area has its own unobstructed ocean views. Here sunsets sink into the sea with green flashes! Between December and May, watch the breaching whales from the living room and lanai as the pods pass directly in front of Poipu Kapili. This is a stunningly beautiful unit in the best location on the property. It is beautifully appointed and we loved the homeowners book of the recent renovation. The pool is marvelous. We would appreciate the addition of a gas BBQ on the property instead of charcoal. IMO The only drawback of the property is the lack of an efficient A/C unit. I understand the owner is in the process of changing that. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Everything we ever dreamed of in a Hawaiian vacation! Opened the doors to the stylish and comfortable condo and we all gasped at how nice. Opened the traditional shutters to a magnificent unimpeded view of the ocean directly across the street- perfection! Excellent location, nicely appointed kitchen, bathrooms, and beach supplies. Watching surfers from the sea wall, catching a meteor shower from the lanai. Very memorable stay.

Our family of four stayed at this amazing property for a week. We wanted something that was close to beaches, shops, and restaurants, allowing us to walk, but also far enough away to enjoy some rest and relaxation. It was perfect. One thing we did not realize was that the accommodation did not have central air conditioning. The bedrooms each had a portable air conditioner. It worked out well enough.

Amazing Property overall, with only one real issue

Pros:-Beautiful location: cannot be overstated how pretty-Close to diving, snorkeling, restaurants-Well maintained: Excellent, professional property management; very responsive to issues-Good pool-Helpful on-site LaundryCons:-AC (a couple of bedroom units) simply insufficient during the arrival/day/evening. You *will* be suffering.-No heating at night (and it can get quite cool)-Loud noise from people stopped/camped/partying on road nightly (see pro bullet 1: it’s very pretty). Ocean is also kind of loud, but that didn’t bother us as it’s pleasant white noise. -Bizarre louver system on all windows. Yes, theoretically it’s possible (if annoying) to crank these open and closed throughout the day to manage temperature. But at these prices in 2025, I’d expect central environment control.

Best of the best

This property is the best unit in the best property on south shore! Kiahuna beach is the steps away and was our favorite beach- swimming and snorkeling. The property managers were clear with communication and swiftly addressed a minor issue without interfering with our stay. One note- the daybed in the guest room didn't seem to be a full size twin. Perfect for our kid but an adult wouldn't be pleased. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Good Poipu Condo

Overall, we had a great experience with the condo itself. Condition was good and well kept. The views of the ocean were great, and it was easy walking distance to a nice beach with swimming. During our stay it seemed like the complex was largely for older couples so just something to keep in mind if you are traveling with kids - our kids had more fun at the beach vs the pool as a result. My only issue with the condo and the reason I would not stay here again is that a road runs in front of the unit which impacted the experience for us. There was a pretty consistent stream of cars and people walking on the road. There was not excessive noise so while this is probably fine for many, I prefer a quieter, more private experience so the road was not ideal. Overall, though, a really good experience.

Beautiful views

We stayed at this property for 10 days. The views of the ocean from the living area and master bedroom were spectacular. The kitchen and guest room had views of the pool and grassy area that included lots of palms and flowering plants. Sunset views from the property were looked forward to daily. There were sunset spectators but they were respectful and were always gone shortly after the sun went down, we never had excessive noise. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and utensils and the upstairs bedrooms do have an air conditioning unit. The first floor even with sliders all opened was incredibly warm in the afternoon. We tried not to use any of the lights on the 1st floor to try to keep it cooler and more tolerable. The condo is about a 5-10 walk to a local coffee shop and the walk to Poipu Beach took about 15. We enjoyed several meals in Poipu but really found ourselves enamored with the small town of Koloa, about a 7 min drive. We would recommend any family to stay at this rental.

Best location ever!

We have eyed this property on previous stays. It did not disappoint. Views are amazing. Great flow through air. Be aware there is no air conditioning on the main level and individual units in the bedrooms. It can be warm at times mainly late afternoon as the sun is setting. We didn’t mind at all. Love it here and would stay again no hesitation. Thank you.

Wonderful Location

This property is in an ideal location to enjoy Poipu and Koloa. Best sunsets and whale activity right from the private lanai. The condo is well appointed and quiet. More spread out than I anticipated, which was nice! The grounds are clean as is the pool. The property manager was professional and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding View!!

The condo was very clean and the property management company wasimmediately available to solve the few problems that occurred during our stay. The kitchen is well stocked to prepare meals, the beds were all confortable, and the view from two directions cannot be beat! We will stay there again.

Great Stay!!

This condo was phenomenal!! The views and property are incredible (late night stars, waves, sunsets, etc). The AC units were definitely needed as it does get warm during the day. You are able to make it to all parts of the island from the location and many nice beaches real close by. We have already started talking about when we are going back!!

Gorgeous condo!

The owners have fantastic taste and all the details were well appointed. We loved the location, the grounds, and the decor. Everything was there for the beach- in outside closets; two lannae for sunset viewing. We didn’t mind that the locals come to that beach point for sunset - they recognize the beauty of the locale. Beds were super comfortable!! Kitchen was complete. We hope to return!

Nice, large condo with a great view

This is a great property for a group or family in a popular area of Kauai. It is large and comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen. There are only portable air conditioners in the two bedrooms, so it did get a little uncomfortable downstairs during the day if the sliding doors were closed, but once the trade winds kicked in, even the a/c upstairs was not needed. The only real downside is that the road in front of the condo gets a decent amount of traffic and is a popular running path in the morning and hangout spot for locals at sunset (including some cars trying to do donuts), so it wasn’t particularly private during those times. The evening crowd always left before it got too late, though.

Family visit

There was some confusion initially as we did not receive the check-in email instructions and it is not provided on the VRBO app, which is unfortunate. However, we had an earlier email and were able to reach the property manager and a very nice lady immediately walked us through everything and we were able to access with no problems. We are from Arizona, and our understanding of air conditioning seems to differ from Hawaii definitions. Each bedroom had a unit and fans and there was a portable unit downstairs. However, except for sliding glass doors, the windows had slats with no glass, so the house did not seal and the efficiency of the air conditioning units was inadequate, and they were very noisy. The sliding shutters for one of the sliding doors locked so you could leave the door open for ventilation when you left or overnight, however, the largest downstairs slider that overlooks the ocean had malfunctioning locks so you could not secure the shutters for ventilation. On days of lower humidity it was not a huge problem downstairs, but on higher humidity days, the downstairs was very uncomfortable and the upstairs was bearable, albeit loud due to the AC units. Both bedrooms are the upstairs, so if there are any mobility issues that is a challenge. I did not see a portable gate for safety of small kids, but there was a playpen. The location of the home is amazing. Gorgeous views of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. It is close to many nice places to go, and excellent snorkeling is abundant within a 10 minute drive and even walkable. The home was very nicely renovated and it has quality finishes and is very inviting. It has beautiful artwork throughout the home, many originating from the local Latitudes gallery. We enjoyed the beauty of the island, the frequent crows of the abundant roosters and a very sweet orange and white and tabby cat who makes his rounds. If we could have taken him home, we would have. Honestly, our only material complaint is lack of central air conditioning and that is not abundant on the island. It is a wonderful place to stay.

The property was beyond perfect! It has been beautifully updated and is located as close as possible to the community pool. We immediately opened all the doors and windows and let the trade winds cool the place down. The ocean view from the living room and master bedroom really started and ended the day right. The condo was equipped with anything you could possibly need, including beach chairs and toys for the kids! Cannot recommend it highly enough.
