Welcome to Cwm Heulog—a beautifully converted horse lorry nestled in the heart of Mid Wales, near the charming market town of Knighton. Surrounded by stunning landscapes and renowned walking routes such as Offa's Dyke and Glyndŵr's Way, this hidden gem is the perfect rural retreat.
Sleeping up to four guests, Cwm Heulog is ideal for a romantic couples getaway or a peaceful family break. The cabin features a serene bedroom with a plush king-size bed facing the breathtaking Radnorshire Hills, plus a comfortable double sofa bed in the open-plan living area.
Step into a stylish and thoughtfully designed interior where modern luxury meets rustic charm. The open-plan kitchen and living space is equipped with a fridge, four-ring hob, oven, and everything you need to prepare delicious meals. Enjoy breakfast at the quirky bar overlooking the countryside or relax on the sofa while soaking in the views from the elevated decking.
The contemporary bathroom includes an electric shower, flushing WC, and compact basin—everything you need to refresh before your next adventure.
Outside, the magic continues with a private deck, complete with outdoor seating and a bubbling hot tub—your perfect spot to unwind beneath the stars. Wrap up in a soft robe and toast marshmallows over the fire pit, drink in hand, and let the peace of the countryside wash over you.

February 2 night stay

Second stay here now, we stayed in the shepherds hut previously and this time did the converted horse lorry as had our son and dog with us. Faultless stay again, fantastic peaceful rural location, clean and well equipped accommodation with plenty of fenced outside space just for our accommodation to use.

Heaven in a horse lorry!

If we could relocate and live here, we would! The accommodation is perfect and equipped with everything you need, the hosts are so friendly and helpful whilst respecting your privacy and the views are truly something else. We stayed for a week on our honeymoon with our dog Theo, the accommodation is surprisingly spacious and the garden/surrounding area are so peaceful. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven with us, we will highly recommend to our friends and family!

What a beautiful place. Will not disappoint.

We booked a two night getaway last minute in the morning and got this gem of a place. It’s amazing, views for miles, hot tub and all the necessities you need and more. The converted horse trailer is amazing, extremely comfortable for us, a family of four with two small dogs. The hosts were very kind & helpful. The grounds were clean and secure. It is really lovely, we will return.
