This holiday home in Kittlitz is a semi-detached house and you are also welcome to book the 2nd semi-detached house. This is practical if you are on holiday with friends or family: you can do a lot together, but each half has its own private area. Your holiday home with a spacious garden is located on the edge of the village, quietly on a road with little traffic and bordered on three sides by surrounding farmland. It is an ideal place for a relaxing break from life in the city. Between Lübeck and Schwerin, you can discover the natural surroundings on a cycle tour, with the stretch of beach on the nearby Dutzower See lake being particularly tempting.
The so-called "customs house" from the 1960s has been lovingly renovated and brought up to date. The interior creates a cosy atmosphere of rustic comfort and modern country house style, with lots of wood and old and contemporary furnishings. The well-tended garden, spacious terrace and extensive grounds have also been retained. The holiday accommodation extends over a living space of 70 m² and is divided into a double bedroom, a large living room, a separate kitchen with dining area and a daylight bathroom. The heart of the flat is the stately living room, which has a bright laminate floor and a wonderful wood-burning stove that spreads cosiness in autumn, on cool spring days and, of course, in winter. Independently of this, central heating also keeps the house warm. Relax on the corner sofa after a day out, while the large flat-screen TV, a Blu-ray player with a small selection of films and a hi-fi system provide entertainment. The bedroom sleeps two people in a double bed measuring 1.80 x 2.00 metres and has ample storage space thanks to a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The pine design is in keeping with the ambience of the holiday home. Here, too, you have a modern, light-coloured laminate floor. There is another wood-burning stove in the kitchen. Come in after a walk in the still cool spring or a golden autumn day, enjoy a hot soup and the firelight from the stove - the perfect welcome to your temporary home. The tiled kitchen allows for extensive self-catering with a four-zone ceramic hob with oven, fridge, dishwasher and the usual appliances such as a coffee machine, kettle and toaster. In the spacious bathroom you have the choice between a modern shower cubicle and a bathtub. This room has been recently modernised and clad in light-coloured tiles. You are welcome to leave your hairdryer at home, there is already one there. The use of WLAN is included.
In summer, the spacious terrace (approx. 4 x 5 m) invites you to enjoy breakfast outside to the sound of birdsong or to round off the day with a charcoal barbecue. You also have a far-reaching view over kilometres of meadows and tall trees. The half of the house also has its own garden of approx. 100 square metres. There is plenty of space for your car on the property.
The friendly landlords are happy to offer you additional services. Your dog is welcome at no extra charge. It goes without saying that he will be well behaved. The use of WLAN is also included.
Extensive shopping facilities await you approx. 11 kilometres away in Ratzeburg (all major discounters, a large Edeka supermarket, various bakers and butchers, a fashion market, pottery for great souvenirs, etc.). Lake Dutzow, which is connected to Lake Schaalsee, is only about 1 kilometre away on an absolutely quiet country lane; a little further on is the bathing area with beach. A number of lakes offer natural bathing opportunities. On Lake Ratzeburg, you can take a trip on a pleasure boat or pedalo and, of course, the many quiet paths are ideal for cycling, hiking or Nordic walking. The landscape is gently undulating, with hardly any steep inclines. For swimming, we recommend the indoor swimming pool in Ratzeburg or the large Wonnemar leisure pool in Wismar (52 km). In Schmilau (12 km) you can take a ride on the trolley, in Zarrentin (18 km) you can visit the monastery and the monastery church and in Schlagsdorf (15 km) the Grenzhus (border house) shows the history of the region with the almost insurmountable border of the GDR. Several local history museums also allow you to experience and learn about other aspects of the region. In Ratzeburg, for example, the 1950s exhibition, the kitchen from 1766 and the pharmacy from 1842 are well worth a visit. Art lovers will get their money's worth at the Barlach Museum and the A-Paul Weber Museum. Lübeck (38 km), Hamburg (70 km), Schwerin (40 km) and Wismar (52 km) are within easy reach for day trips. In Wittenburg (34 km), an indoor ski centre offers winter sports opportunities all year round.
