While early April is for cherry blossom viewing end April it's wisteria.

Wisteria is named Fuji in Japanese and hence Fuji En; wisteria garden.

Kawachi is famous for the wisteria tunnel which is not seen at Ashikaga Flower Park nearer to Tokyo. This one is near to Kokura in Kyushu.

I went to the other park last year and both are different. This one has more colors while the other one has older and bigger trees!

Minus the crowd it can be a romantic excursion. Try to go before the golden week!

The famous wisteria park in Kyushu near Yahata. Every year tourists will venture this park from end April to first 10 days of May. This year season begins Apr 27 to May 14 but due to the rains expected on May 6 and May 9 most of the flowers might end up on the ground by the 10th!

I was there May 5, 2017. If anyone planning to go make sure you get ticket from 7-11 or other convenience stores automated machine as the place had imposed this system to control the crowd. You just need to pay ¥500 for the ticket. Depending on the day u enter (full bloom or not) you may end up paying an extra ¥1000 per person. It's worth the price though!
