This lovely detached, thatched cottage is on the edge of Kinvara and sleeps ten people in five bedrooms.

The Well House is a delightful detached, stone-built, thatched cottage situated just a short walk from Kinvara in County Galway. This cottage sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, consisting of two first floor double and three ground floor doubles, including one with Jack-and-Jill access to a shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen, a sitting room with dining area and solid fuel stove and a ground floor bathroom. Outside there's ample off road parking and a front lawned garden with furniture. The Well House is a charming base for exploring Galway.

Amenities: Oil underfloor heating with solid fuel stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine in utility, dishwasher, TV with Saorview. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Front lawned garden with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Note: Open tread stairs.

Region: Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes. The Galway region epitomises the term ‘great outdoors’; with fantastic walking and cycling and exhilarating water sports.

Town: Kinvara is a picturesque seaside village in south County Galway, on the edge of the world renowned Burren. Kinvara has Dunguaire Castle, a quaint harbour, pubs, shops and eateries, and a renowned farmers' market every Friday. Within driving distance is the small city of Galway and the Burren National Park and Nature Reserve are within reach.

Nice, but too cold in the house and under the shower.

Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen, vor allem mit den Tieren ringsum. Die Lage war super, fussläufig zum hübschen Ortskern, mit Pubs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Schöne Restaurants und sehr netter kleiner Hafen. Hübsch für Spaziergänge rundum. Das Haus müsste besser beheizbar sein und das Warmwasser für die Dusche kam spärlich oder gar nicht. Es wäre wirklich schön, wenn dies vom Vermieter geregelt würde, vor allem weil es schon von vorigen Mietern bemängelt wurde. Der Sitzplatz am Eingang Küche müsste verschönert werden, da der Wiesenplatz zwar hübsch gemacht ist, aber man keine Lust hat alles rüber zu tragen und der Steintisch nicht geeignet ist, um Sachen darauf zu stellen. Der Plastiktisch ist kaputt. Wir haben notdürftig das Bein dran gesteckt. Mit kleinen Verschönerungen wäre das Haus wirklich prima. Betten waren sehr gut und die neuen Schlafzimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet. Einfach regeln, dann kann man das Haus wieder voll umfänglich empfehlen.

Alles in bester Ordnung! Sehr geräumiges Haus mit sehr ruhiger Lage. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und alles nötige ist vorhanden.

We had a wonderful stay at the Well House in Kinvara. The house was comfortable, perfectly situated, and ideally accommodated our group of 6. It was made even better by the presence of Rover, the resident Border Collie. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

Nice place, but no really redy for 10 people.

Nice place, but no really redy for 10 people. Only 6 chairs in dinning area and 3 chairs outside the door. Will be a lovely if any gazebo in rain time 👌 But good brake and nice area. No more complains.

Adorable stone house with cozy fireplace. Clean and welcoming. ZERO WiFi but who cares?! ( besides the kids) short walk to pubs and grocery.

Wunderschönes und großzügiges altes Bauernhaus

Das hübsche Reetdachhaus liegt zurückgesetzt von einer ruhigen Nebenstraße am Ortsausgang von Kinvara. Ringsum gibt es Weiden mit ein paar Eseln, Schafen, Ziegen und Kühen. Wir waren 10 Leute und haben gut Platz gefunden. Das Haus ist von Innen viel größer als es von Außen wirkt und hochwertig mit Möbeln ausgestattet. Der Objektbetreuer wohnt im Bauernhaus nebenan und war sehr hilfsbereit. KInvara ist ein hübsches Hafenstädtchen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Umgebung (Galway, Burren, Cliffs of Moher) zu erkunden. Ein hübscher Sandstrand liegt ca. 4 km entfernt. Einziges Manko waren der fehlende Trockner, da die nasse Wäsche auf dem Wäscheständer schlecht trocknet und die fehlende Garderobe, um nasse Sachen aufzuhängen. Denn die hat man in Irland hin und wieder ;)
