Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I spend a night at this adorable Guest House in Cottam and couldn't be happier with our stay. It was a great location, very easy to find with lots of parking right out front. Lovely curb appeal, with well manicured gardens and keyless entry. The accommodations were spotless, beautifully decorated and a large window provides lots of natural light and there's even a back patio area that we used to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. This property is 15 minutes from Pelee Island winery which had their "Summer Sunday" events with live music and wood fired pizzas. There are some delicious restaurants in the area and we walked down by the beach in Kingsville, then took the ferry over to Pelee Island the following day. The hosts responded to messages in a timely manner, provided us with information about what to do in the area and were very welcoming. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a short stay in Essex County!

Good Place

The space is nice but needs some changes. The lady running the space was very available and helpfull. She responded within a hour or two before we arrived to answer questions. There needs to be a window air conditioner put in. I’m glad it wasn’t too hot at night or it would have been very tough to sleep. Whatever the unit is on the wall, it’s rather useless.

Ilnycky Stay

Overall it was good to stay here. Nice place, nice deck. TV: could not watch just regular TV which was a pain. Shower/bathtub is not agreeable to senior visitors - could be hazard. Air conditioning unit is immediately over the bed which could lead to a chill if left on, so we turned it off and opened the two windows in front - not enough fresh air venting. It was nice and quiet though and we did enjoy that. Thank you.

The guest house was very nicely decorated with touches like real plants and an unique old fashioned searing machine repurposed into a sink. It had everything needed including water and coffee supplies. Entry with keypad was seamless and hosts were excellent with communication. Shower/ water pressure was excellent. Wifi worked perfectly. Mattress topper was comfy and Bed was fine but did squeak when getting up/ down and would have loved a slightly bigger bed as we are used to a king! Lol A slightly more private bathroom would be beneficial but understandably it’s a smaller space. Would have loved to have time to sit outside and relax in lovely backyard/ patio. A perfect little pad for our short little visit. Would come again!

Lovely

I did spend a wonderful week at the guest house. The space is very clean, cozy, and nicely decorated and cooled/air conditioned, which was nice for such a warm week. The garden is amazing with lots of mature trees that keep shade and a fire pit to enjoy summer nights. It is conveniently located close to Kingsville, Leamington and Essex and Pointe Pelee Provincial Park. Pamela and Jason are very friendly and easy to communicate with. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
