  • Lower Coombe Royal fue construido por Roger Bond Luscombe a principios de 1900 después de Combe Royal, la mansión más antigua al norte de nosotros, fue gravemente dañado por el fuego. El Lower Coombe Royal Estate está escondido entre acres de jardines históricos en el borde de Kingsbridge, cerca de Salcombe, en el sur de Devon, pero a 2 minutos del centro de la ciudad próspera mercado. El Devon Coach House de 200 años de antigüedad está ubicado en el valle, escondido en su propio claro privado. Está situado en el borde de la huerta de manzanas y el histórico jardín americano.     La casa tiene tres dormitorios y dos baños, con capacidad para seis personas más una cuna en nuestra cretion. Es una casa de topsy-turvy - las habitaciones están abajo y el espacio abierto de estar es arriba, desde donde se accede a la terraza.

    El dormitorio principal es espacioso y tiene una cama king size. El cuarto de baño tiene una amplia ducha con un asiento de teca. El segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales que pueden ser zip y vinculados para hacer una cama Super King. El tercer dormitorio tiene literas y está lleno de juguetes y libros para los niños. El cuarto de baño familiar tiene bañera y ducha. Ambos baños tienen calefacción por suelo radiante, toalleros calientes.

    Una sólida escalera de madera de estilo eduardiano conduce a la luminosa y espaciosa cocina abierta, comedor y sala de estar. La cocina, el comedor y las salas de estar están convenientemente combinados y abiertos. La cocina está bien equipada, los armarios de crema contienen un montón de vajilla, vasos y utensilios de cocina para comidas familiares, así como otros útiles gadgets como una batidora de alimentos y una máquina de café Nespresso. La sala de estar tiene un sofá cómodo, así como una mesa de comedor y sillas. Una puerta de establo conduce desde el salón a una terraza privada, rodeada de camelias y antiguos manzanos, donde encontrará una gran mesa de madera con sillas reclinables, sombrilla y una barbacoa. Si te apetece una noche, hay un televisor de pantalla plana con canales Free View y un reproductor de DVD. (Hay un rango de DVDs disponible.) También hay un reproductor de iPod, además de una selección de libros, rompecabezas y juegos para mantener a todos entretenidos.

Great overall experience. communication with host spotlessly clean showers and comfy bed peaceful environment but walkable to town centre gardens surrounding the property are absolutely extraordinary. Stunning trees and flowers.

Great location for exploring the area. Lovely house and we enjoyed the wood fired hot tub which takes a couple of hours to get up to temperature. Only thing I’d change would be the towels- not enough and VERY small!!

Sunny break in Devon

The booking process was easy and the detailed information sent by Julie before we arrived was very helpful. The Coach House was well laid out and had everything we needed and is set in beautiful grounds. It is in a great location to explore the nearby coast. We will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Perfect break

We’ve just come back from this perfect hideaway. Everything that was needed was in close proximity of the property and the additional bonus onsite of children’s play area as well as the beautiful walk and the rope swings which the children loved! Julie and Paul were more than accommodating and great hosts! We’re in the process of rebooking!

Beautiful property set in glorious gardens.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. At the coach house. Owners were very welcoming. Ideally placed for exploring the beautiful surrounding beaches and villages. Property was well equipped, comfortable and our children enjoyed all the outside play equipment. We would recommend this property and look forward to staying again in the future. What a beautiful house, everything as described and more. Set in serene, quiet woods, with lovely walks in the 8 acre grounds. The dog loved it. Cleanliness was of the highest quality. The house had a warm and cozy feel to it, we wanted to stay longer. The hot tub felt luxurious and every need was met. Julie and Paul were the best hosts and could not be more helpful. We will definitely be back soon. We have found a wonderful little gem in a beautiful part of Devon. This House come highly recommended and deserves the rave reviews. 5 Stars .

The towels provided smelled damp, even after repeated washing.The shower screen in the family bathroom was ineffective, causing water to soak the floor beside the bath.No parasol was provided, despite the website stating that one was available. When we asked about this, the host was not helpful.There was only enough outdoor seating for four people, and the same was true indoors, although the property accommodates six. This contradicts the images on the Vrbo listing.The Vrbo listing advertised an “on-site fitness centre – a rare find - enjoy convenient access to fitness facilities.” When we enquired, we were told there was no such facility on site.During our stay, we found wet patches in several areas on the ground floor, particularly in the bedroom nearest the front of the property, where black mould and a discarded item were also present. Please see the attached photos.Two radiators were leaking: one opposite the main bathroom and one in the bunk-bed room.Vrbo stated that there would be a large wooden garden table, reclining chairs, and a parasol, but these were not provided.The Freeview TV did not work. We bought an aerial connector, but it still did not find any channels, so we had to use BBC iPlayer and Prime Video instead.The climbing frame was out of order.The Vrbo listing stated, “The third bedroom has bunk beds and is full of toys and books for the children,” but no toys were available.Host responded positively to much of our feedback so worth checking out.

Lower coombe Royal The Coachhouse

The Coachhouse was very comfortable with great beds and bedding, nestled among a rural woodland as described and a very peaceful setting. Julie and Paul extremely helpful hosts, Paul went way beyond by towing the car from it's position after getting stuck between two edging logs, it was a cold Sunday morning! A lovely stay overall.

Lovely time, would stay again

We loved our stay in the coach house. The property was a lovely standard and modern but still charming. All the beds and bedding were comfy, and the showers too. The house itself is in a unique little mini site which was great for our dog to explore, and beautiful for us to stroll through too. The garden patio was great for BBQs and evening drinks, but we did need to block the patio sides a bit so our dog would escape and take himself off chasing rabbits! Makeshift gates did the job, but might be useful to have something there as we’d love to stay again. Also walking distance to Kingsbridge, easy parking, easy to find and close to lots of beaches and other beauty spots. We hope to stay again in the future!

Excellent location, and comfortable house

We had a lovely holiday in the Coach House. It was very well appointed, clean and the hosts, Julie and Paul, were welcoming and responsive. We found the living area of the house a little small for 6, but the bedrooms very spacious and the grounds delightful!

The Coach House

The Coach House has a great location in a private wooded estate on the edge of Kingsbridge (a 10 - 15 minute walk to the shops, cafes and estuary). The house is clean and well furnished and fitted out. We would recommend the Coach House as a great base for exploring Kingsbridge and surrounding south Devon.

Fantastic Weekend

The Coach House was a perfect retreat for a relaxing weekend. The property is lovely and set in the in the most beautiful grounds. We were so impressed with the house and standard of furnishings and equipment….we wanted for nothing. We’ll definitely return in the future.

Beautifully presented home from home

From the booking process through to leaving this property, our experience has been excellent. The property is beautifully presented and decorated, with everything you could possibly need for your stay provided. Items from furniture and linen through to kitchen appliances were of a high quality and the host even left us some freshly baked cookies for our arrival. We had a wonderful weekend based at the Coach House, which was set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

The coach house appears to have been recently renovated, it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped in fantastic woodland surroundings. We will definitely look to book this property again.

Spacious detached home in beautiful surrounding, and the location is excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is well equipped and in beautiful grounds, and Kingsbridge is ideal located to visit the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay

The property was excellent, comfortable and clean with plenty of space inside and outside for 6 people. Julie was really helpful all the way through and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Kingsbridge.

Beautiful little cottage and property!

We stayed for 2 weeks and loved every second of it! The house was well stocked for the basics we would need, had toys and books for our kids to play with. The playground and soccer field on property were great! And the town area was gorgeous. Beautiful place to stay. Owners were so nice and even had a welcome treat waiting for us.

Beautiful property, beautiful grounds

We stayed as a family group for the weekend whilst attending a wedding nearby. It made for a lovely base and great getting-ready abode with cosy underfloor heating in the bathroom and good mirrors! haha! Lots of room for all 6 of us to snuggle around Eurovision on the sofas afterwards, eating the scrumptious home made treats provided by our hosts. Would love to return to see the beautiful gardens through the seasons!

Fabulous location and faultless accommodation.

This property was beautifully presented with every detail taken care of. It was extremely well equipped and had lots of extra touches that were much appreciated. The hosts were also very accommodating and helpful. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Thank you Jules for all your help!

The Coach House was beautifully clean, very comfy and very well equipped

We had a great stay, kids loved the grounds. House was clean, comfy and well equipped. We didn’t need a thing. Really well placed for Salcombe. Will definitely be back.
