Tripled Booked, Poor Communication, Unsafe
The start of our trip was an absolute nightmare. The very first night we were at the home, we had a group of people walk into the home.
They informed me that they booked the house for the next couple of days and didn't know who we were. When we told them we booked the house for almost a month, they were just as alarmed as we were.
A few hours later, we had some one else walk in the house and said they rented this unit for "x" amount of days.
Thankfully, we had 7 guys with us, however, if it were my wife and family, this situation would be incredibly unsafe and uncomfortable.
After several calls to the home owner and VRBO, we were able to determine this location was cohosted with someone else that hosted the home on a**bnb and they double booked the unit.
The co-host was very kind and did her best to help us w/another stay near by, which, when we went there, we found a complete mess, there was feces in the toilets, no AC, the beds were messy, just an absolute nightmare. We ended up going to a hotel for the night and have yet to be compensated for the hotel, the unsafe situation, poor conditions.
The hosts communications were difficult and few and far between.
Never again.
