Cute place with a wonderful view

We had a wonderful stay here. Communication with the owner was great, the area has a nice little food truck parking lot with a ton of great options. The view is amazing, right across the ocean. A lot of great parks nearby and there was plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend.

Not the "Aloha" Experience We Hoped For

I told the host I'd give a fair account of our experience at this condo. There is no malcontent here, just what we experienced. This condo would be perfect in Myrtle Beach, SC, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's what it is: old, run-down, smells bad, on the intersection of two roads (so not on the beach), and just, blah. Now, if you read through reviews, you'll see a pattern where people will share about how the condo was dirty, or there were insects or the place just felt grimy, and the host will say things like, "Well, you're on a tropical island" or "We have the condo professionally cleaned with pictures to prove it" and those comments are well and good, but the fact is there was hair in the shower and sink (sent pictures) and we found fleas in the mattress cover (took pictures and left on a paper towel for proof), and it just smells really old. Of course, we got the same responses as others who have stayed here, so clearly there is a pattern. Either there needs to be a new company hired to clean the condo, a complete reno of the place, or a willingness to work with people who paid lots of money to walk into an unhomely condo. We booked four nights but got out after 2. No refund offered (to be expected once you read all the reviews) but worth it to not stay there another 2 nights. Again, if you're cool with paying good money for a run-down, leave you feeling dirty condo, then you'll have no problems. But there are too many other places to stay in Kihei!

Absolutely perfect

The unit was exactly as described in the listing. The view from the lanai is stunning. Location is so convenient. South Maui Gardens is right behind the building. Multiple restaurants, convenience stores, and a grocery store within a less than five minutes walk. I also cannot say enough positive about the host. Communication was top notch and they are so friendly. Checked in with us multiple times throughout our ten day stay simply asking if everything was up to our expectations and if there were any issues. If I could give both the condo and the boats a ten star rating, I definitely would. This was our first time in Maui, and definitely will not be our last. We will definitely stay in this same unit when we return. Do not hesitate to book this unit with complete confidence. Convenient, clean, furnished beautifully, fantastic area, easy parking, great communication. I simply do not know what else anyone could possibly want for a vacation rental. 10/10 will be back.

Amazing Location!

This property was perfect for us! You can walk to everything! The South Maui Luau is directly behind the property with tons of food trucks. The Kihei Caffe is right next door as is the Paia Fish market (so ono!). Plenty of space for us and a balcony overlooking the water

Beautiful View with a Central Location

The property is within walking distance of so much/ groceries, beach, park, bar, shopping, coffee, restaurants etc. The view from the deck was great. It can be a little noisy on the deck during the day, but didn’t bother us as we were usually out during the day. Had a separate AC unit in the bedroom which was a lifesaver for us. Plenty if space for the two of us. We’d stay again.

10 Plus

Great Condo located in the heart of Kihei. Beaches, parks, shops, restaurants and bars. Great view of ocean with swimmers, surfers and snorkelers. Our hosts, Ligia and Mike couldn’t have been better. Our first nite we had problems with the TV set. The next morning they showed up with a brand new 65 inch set. Ligia would text every few days to check if all was well and see if we needed anything. Great hosts, great Condo!

Great view and location

The best features of this property is location and view. I think this is the only 6 story building in the area and is designed with all units to have an ocean view. Since this unit is on the top floor, the ocean view was the best! We enjoyed watching surfers, both experienced and beginners in surf school, from our lanai. The location is adjacent to shops, restaurants, and bars. The building lower level has shops including a great deli and a convenience store.it also has good off street parking. The owner was very responsive to questions or problems we had.

The owner is very responsive to all your needs. She starts you off with a great introduction to the locale. When you arrive there is a bottle of wine and 2 glasses chilling in the frig. Unit is newly refurbished and tastefully decorated. Kitchen is the best equipped I've ever seen. Espesso machine! WITH COFFEE. Parking is secure and easy. Surfboard rental and beach right accross the street.

The view of the beach from this property is fantastic! The property is conveniently located close to restaurants, stores, the beach, etc. Ligia was a great host who responded to our requests in a timely manner. We would definitely rent this property again.

Decent place, but...

Pros: *The place is good enough for two. *Had "boogie boards", beach chairs and snorkeling stuff available on deck that we used. Didn't see a sign saying we couldn't, so we helped ourselves. *Mostly is as advertised. The walk across the street to the tiny beach didn't bother us. *Little store right below the rooms, around the corner, had drinks, snacks and trinkets available, if need be. Cons: *Some review may have mentioned a loud AC (if I remember correctly), that is true. I like to chill watching TV in the evenings after a long day. Had to turn up the volume to hear over the AC. *Shower curtain was dirty from the inside of the tub, upon arrival. Used one of their washcloths to clean it up best we could for the stay. *Hairs on the bathroom wall upon arrival. *Host is extreme about turning off AC when not in room. We stepped out one day and received a text from host about us having not shut off the AC. Felt weird, as if we were being watched, and I said so over text. She replied that they dropped off a dish scrubber and found the AC on. I replied I DIDN'T ASK FOR A SCRUBBER. Either way. Super weird. She told me how expensive the electricity is in Maui, etc. Well, too bad, but I'm from Alaska. When I get back to my room, after a hot day out, I don't want to wait 2 hours for a noisy AC to chill my room in order to get comfortable. My advice: Regardless of the electricity prices, but breathing down my neck because of the AC ruined it for me. If she stops that controlling trait, she will get better reviews. In fact, I was going to ignore the unclean shower curtain and hair on wall stuff, but after my frustration of feeling "snooped" on without asking for a scrubber, I decided to give my honest review. I know she tries hard, but sometimes you just have to let your guests be, unless they ask for your service. The silly scrubber thing really felt like it was her excuse just to check up on us. Note: Not the host's fault, but when the TV wasn't working for a day, she did a decent job in making an effort to resolve the issue and gave us access to another form of entertainment through an app, meanwhile.

If your looking for a location that is within walking distance to anything you will want, this is it! It is very busy due to the location, but the beach, Saltwater Café with organic and fabulous gluten free options was priceless for us. The unit is adorable, nicely kept and cozy. Wonderful stay!

Perfect place in Kihei

This condo was perfect. Starting with a beautiful condo with an owner that setting it up perfectly for amazing vacation. There were benoculars to see the whales from the lanai as well as chairs to use at the beach. She's thought of everything. Add to that the location is perfect with a beautiful view and walking distance to so many of our favorite restaurants. Thank you for an awesome visit. We'll be back.

Best Hub for Fun

Paddle boarding and surfing right across the street, great food and bars within 2 blocks, shopping nearby, deli and convenience store in the building—everything was at our disposal at this cute condo with great sunset views. Owner was helpful and provided plenty of insight for our trip to Kihei! Great time!!

The property was in a great location within Kihei. It was close to the airport and many restaurants and shops. Located across the street from a wonderful park and small beach area which was great for swimming and surfing. I would definitely recommend this property.

Nice unit, busy area

This unit, on the 6th floor of the Island Surf condos, was very comfortable for us. Everything was neat and tidy when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and there was a large sectional couch in the living area for spreading out and watching TV. The kitchen was well stocked ... esp. with things I usually forget to pick up at the store, like coffee filters and salt & pepper. The small balcony was great ... so nice to have breakfast out there while watching people learn to surf at Cove Beach. Opening the balcony door and the bedroom windows provided a nice cross-breeze on windy days so we didn't use the A/C at all. The only drawback to this unit was that it is close to busy Kihei Street so you get traffic noise all day long ... and of course some people have to gun their motors or play loud music in their cars. It you were hoping to hear the lap of waves and wind in the palms, this may not be the place for you. On the other hand, it is convenient to a number of shops and eateries, including an extensive food truck park just up the street, and is across the street from Kalama Park. Ligia was a very responsive manager and answered our questions promptly.
