Our beautiful recently renovated 6-bedroom house is ideal for 2 or 3 families or large fishing groups. This two-story home can allow for independent, self-contained living across two levels. The upstairs living area is spacious and includes a lounge, BBQ area with bar, and two separate dining areas, making it ideal for entertaining family and friends.

The Space:
The renovated kitchens on each level are fully equipped with new gas stoves, ovens, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a full range of cooking and eating utensils. There is a bathroom and toilet on each level. Both Living areas have Smart TVs with VAST Satellite TV access. There is a third Smart TV near the upstairs dining area. All TVs are hardwired to the High-Speed Starlink internet, and there is Wi-fi throughout the house. Bring your Netflix, Kayo, and/or Foxtel logins to access the apps on the TVs.

The property is in the heart of Happy Valley, near the beach near the Fraser Island Retreat, which has a shop for basic supplies, fuel, coffee, and a Bar and Bistro for meals. The house is in a quiet, serene location with no passing traffic, where you can enjoy the prolific bird life and adjacent bushland in the World Heritage Listed area.

There is a 2-car garage with ample storage area for your gear and outdoor parking for 2 or 3 4WDs. A hose is provided to wash down your vehicles after a day of driving on the beach. The property has a laundry with a 12kg Washing Machine, including outdoor and undercover drying lines. There is a storage room with a chest freezer and an extra fridge/freezer, which you can use for drinks or food. There is also plenty of room to store your fishing rods and wash them down after a day of fishing. It is an ideal location to base your holiday activities, such as fishing or exploring the island’s lakes, rainforests, and beaches.

Ceiling fans are provided in each bedroom, along with the living areas. There is a computer desk with Wifi and Wired ethernet ports for faster internet access. There are USB ports throughout the house and bedrooms for charging your mobile phones and devices and night lights to navigate around the house in the middle of the night. Drinking quality water is obtained by a triple water filtration system that includes ultraviolet purification. There is an undercover fish cleaning facility for your convenience. Many board games are provided to keep the little ones entertained, and there is a full poker set (chips and felt for the big kids). The property has a local management team who can assist with your needs.

Please note this is a self-clean property, and guests must provide their own linen, including (Top and Bottom Sheets and bath and beach towels.) No Sleeping Bags. We supply Pillows, Pillowcases, and plenty of Blankets to keep you warm.

The Neighborhood:
K'gari is the world's largest sand island and an area of remarkable natural beauty. It was listed as a World Heritage Area in 1992 to recognise the island's internationally significant natural features:

-evolving dune, lake, soil and forest systems, the extent and age of which are outstanding examples of ongoing geological and biological processes
-unique landscapes, which are examples of superlative natural occurrences.
Growing on seemingly infertile sands are a great variety of plant communities ranging from coastal heath, mangrove forests and swamps to subtropical rainforest.

The many archaeological remains found on K'gari record thousands of years of culture and tradition, and provide important links to their past for the Butchulla people.

The island is 123km long and covers an area of 166,038ha, so you need to allow plenty of time to explore and appreciate it.

Getting Around:
A 4WD vehicle is required to access the house and the island. You will also need a National Park Vehicle Permit issued by QPWS.

The property has a local management team who can assist with your needs.

This is a self-clean property, and guests must provide their own linen, towels, and pillowcases. No Sleeping Bags, please.

Fantastic for families

This is an amazing house with everything a family could want. It was the little things, like night lights, labelled light switches, family friendly games. Then there’s the BBQ’s, the fully equipped kitchens and the laundry. Absolutely perfect.

Fantastic multi family holiday home

We had a fantastic stay at Bushys. The perfect home to house our extended family for a trip to Fraser. The layout served us very well and the spaces were wonderfully presented and well equipped. We've stayed in a few different homes on Fraser and this one is by far the best. Definitely would stay again.

12 friends stayed in this property and it was fantastic. Modern with everything you could possibly need. Self clean kind of set up but all the products and cloths to clean are provided. Friendly and very helpful management. Located steps from the local pub and corner shop. Central island location. 4th trip and best accomodation so far.
