Condo in River Run w/ Stunning Mountain Views from Private Balcony!

This 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom top floor condo sleeps 8 with a king bed, queen bed, bunk beds, and queen sleeper sofa. It features vaulted ceilings and private balcony with mountain views. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants, and local festivities. Plus, guests can walk to the high-speed gondola. The Springs offers shared amenities including a pool with slide, a wading pool, indoor play area, Tesla EV charger, and two hot tubs.

The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV mounted above a beautiful gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. The homeowner has provided a selection of board games for your enjoyment. Just off the living area is access to the private balcony that offers mountain views.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home. The dining area comfortably seats five people with three additional seats at the breakfast bar. The first of three full bathrooms is just off the living area and has a pedestal sink and shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower/tub combination with jets and a door separates the toilet area for added privacy. The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a bunk bed and its own en suite bathroom. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a door separates the toilet area and shower/tub combination for added privacy.

Had everything we needed. It's a 5th floor unit, the elevator from the 4th floor to 5th was broken but it wasn't that big of a deal really. We LOVE staying at The Springs. It's our favorite condo in River Run. No complaints; the condo bet all of our expectations!

Nice condo close to the lift

The condo is nice and close to the lift. Sleeps 5 or 6 and the beds are nice. There is a new condominium being built between this condo and the lift. Pool and hot tubs are nice. Would definitely stay again!

It gets worse every year…

Let me start by saying that this is our 3rd time in Keystone and this was by far the worst experience we had. 1) We contacted the property management a day before our check in time and we requested an early check-in (willing to pay extra) because their check-in time is 4:30pm and we were arriving at noon. We were told that they can’t promise anything and we have to contact them again on the day of arrival, which makes no sense because of you are a good property manager you would not wait until the day of to schedule your house cleaning etc…The entry code did not work until 4:30pm so we could not even get inside the common area to stay warm. 2) We also asked a day in advance to ensure that the sleeping sofa has bed sheets, pillows and blankets. When we checked in we found out that there were no blankets for the sleeping sofa. One member of our group had to sleep one night without a blanket (absolutely unacceptable). A day later and a few more text messages we received a blanket… 3) The unit we rented was on top floor (5) and only one elevator servicing that floor was not working when we arrived and got fixed a day later. We had to carry all our luggage and ski equipment through the stairs. This was a miserable experience and totally unacceptable. Luckily we did not have anyone in the group that was disabled but we met other people who had a really tough time climbing stairs with their small children and elderly friends/ relatives. 4) The main reason we booked this unit was the grill on the balcony that was clearly visible in the pictures. Well…there was no grill to be found. We resorted to using the common area grill by the pool BUT it did not work. The gas burners lit up but could not heat up the grill over 70 degrees, so we could not grill any of the meet we had purchased. 5) There is construction going on next to the property where they are developing new condominiums which resulted in blocking off the path to the village and we had to around ways of. What should have been a short 1 minute walk turned into 5+ minutes of walking to get to the shops and restaurants. 6) last but not least, the water pressure in our unit was so low that taking a shower after a long days on the slopes was a miserable experience.

Needs maintenance

Upon first glance, we were excited! Everything appeared as advertised. However, as we settled in, we noticed this unit is in much need of maintenance and a thorough cleaning: master bathtub had hair clogging the jets, kitchen sink barely works, there’s no screen door on back patio (extremely dangerous with a toddler, no ac (extremely hot), two fans provided for bedrooms (but no access to window to move air in kids room), no air circulation in main area, there was an extremely soiled extra pillow in closet (threw on patio…not sure if it was mud or blood), no kitchen space for food, all linens needed a good soak, etc. Lastly, water was turned off for a while the last day which hampered showering and delayed check our ability to wash dishes, etc.

Great property at a great value

We love The Springs and try to stay there every time we go to Keystone. This unit was well kept up and well equipped. We very comfortably managed with 5 adults. The 3rd bathroom was great when everyone was getting ready in the morning. The courtyard is the best in Keystone in my opinion. Keystone in the summer is a great escape and we had a wonderful trip again this year.

Tons of space for the price!

Springs #8905 has every amenity you need. It is very well furnished, especially the kitchen. The beds and bathrooms were great for the price. The parking was easily accessible and warm. The biggest downside for us was the foam cover on the king bed. You sink in it. I would prefer a regular plush mattress. The second bedroom beds were VERY comfortable. It's on the 5th floor and has a designated elevator. This can take a while when they are busy (we were there Prez weekend). It was really only a problem on Sat & Sun. The hot tubs were really busy on the weekend too. We had a great time meeting people there though. It was always fun & everyone was really nice. It's a bit of a walk to the gondola, but it's about as close as you can get in Keystone for the price. The view was of the building next door and the tops of the mountains. It was better than I expected. Nice & bright in the morning. Repairs are needed to the dishwasher, coffee maker, one lamp, bathroom lightbulbs & kitchen faucet, but all worked despite problems. One of three humidifiers was broken, but the other 2 were adequate for the bedrooms. If they buy a new king mattress, I would definitely stay there again.

Property was great. Management was ok.

This property was in a great location. What I didn’t like was that this property management company emailed me from about 5 different emails up to the time of the rental. Forget email filtering if you want to stay here. One of their first emails got filtered by spam and they never let me know any other way besides calling me and telling me (on a Sunday) I have 24 hours to get back to them or the rental was cancelled (this was about a week or so before we were leaving for this vacation, too!). After calling them back and explaining I didn’t know if their email was real (considering it came from a weird email and it said “download the attached file!”) they were very nasty and I actually had to contact VRBO (who were very nice) instead, they helped me through the process. The company was very passive aggressive and not friendly, when asking questions while staying there, “This information is located in your touchstay that was emailed to you.” instead of just giving a friendly answer. Super late check in, early check out, and have to pay if you want early check in or late check out, which is never fun for guests. Definitely a company that’s not super accommodating to guests. Would I stay here again? Sure, for the location, and if there was nothing else left, but I’d search far and wide before going with the company who owns this property again.

Keystone Skiing with Friends

Unit on the 5th floor of Springs with view facing Red Hawk Lodge. Great location next to the Gondola. Couch and chairs were comfortable around the TV. King bed mattress is on the softer side.

Nice location!

Good experience at this location, unit was clean and as described. Note: garage clearance is 7’6” for those of you with a carrier, ours cleared with an inch to spare. Pool was great, hot tub was cloudy and needed some care. Steam room was good and commons areas were well maintained.

Great location and management company

We loved our stay and perfect location -my 4 kids loved the swimming pool and water slide. We were most impressed with the management company. There was a delay getting checked in and they offered us a late check out and were very accommodating. Would stay here again!

It was a great place to stay. Excellent location, close to everything and very clean. we really enjoyed our time there. the only thing was the theater room didn't work but other than that it was a great stay. We will most likely be staying here again.
