Mountain walking is also on offer in this area, with the easy going Catbells just 4.5 miles away and the more challenging Skiddaw (5 miles) and Blencathra (7 miles) close by. Take a trip in the car to nearby Ullswater to see the Aira Force Waterfall (14 miles), another truly enjoyable day out and about.
