  • Summary:

    From the top-floor lanai in the Maui Building, this Islander on the Beach studio gives you a partial ocean view, garden below, and the sound of waves carrying through the day. Two beds sleep up to four, with air conditioning and a kitchenette in the 372-square-foot space for a small family or friends. The beach is a few paces away, and the beachside pool and hot tub make an easy alternate plan when everyone needs a break from the sand. Coconut Marketplace is close enough for coffee or a casual meal, while Wailua's waterfall scenery and Kapaa's coastal path invite a little exploring. Tropical landscaping softens the walk between pool and shore. It is a comfortable East Side landing spot for guests who want the beach close and the days uncomplicated.



    The Space:

    On the top floor of the Maui Building, this 372-square-foot studio opens to a private lanai with partial ocean and garden views. Two beds sleep up to four, and the kitchenette has a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker for simple meals. Air conditioning and a full bath add welcome comfort after time in the sand, pool, or hot tub.



    Guest Access:

    Guests at Islander on the Beach have access to the shared outdoor pool, hot tub, BBQ grill area, and beach access. The resort grounds provide easy outdoor space to relax between beach outings.



    The Neighborhood:

    The Maui Building puts the resort's tropical grounds between your lanai and the beach, with Coconut Marketplace close by for breakfast, groceries, and casual dinner. When you want to move a little, the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path is nearby for an oceanfront walk or bike ride. Wailua River and the road toward Opaekaa Falls offer an easy change of scenery, and Kapaa town has more local dining by car. It is a useful East Side home base for a small family or friends who want short, satisfying outings rather than a far-flung drive every day.



    Getting Around:

    Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.



    Other Things to Note:

    • Third-floor unit, no elevator.

    • This vacation rental is not equipped with a washer/dryer. However, towel exchanges are offered for guests every Monday and Thursday.

    • This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.

    • All guests shall abide by Heavenly's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.

    • Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

    The pool and spa will temporarily be closed from 10/26-11/04 for major repairs.

Right on the beach!

Resort right on beautiful beach with a great walking path.if you want to tour the island a rental car is a must . There is a plaza with a few restaurants and stores right by the resort.

Aston islander by the sea

Perfect for us ! we stayed in #370. Perfect location we’ve stayed in Kapaa almost every time we come ! Love the tiki bar at the pool everyone super friendly. 10/10 will stay here again

Peaceful and beautiful

This property had everything we needed for a perfect week. The beach is steps out the patio door, we were close to restaurants and shops and the pool and unit were clean and comfortable. Simply beautiful and we will definitely rebook. We love this place!

Clean room and great location

We stayed a week in this room. It was very clean and had a view of the beach. The property was gorgeous, and the location was steps away from great coffee and restaurants. We had a little trouble with the WiFi, but the vacasa team was super responsible to help us figure it out. Would definitely stay again.

Nice clean room for a quick weekend trip. Property was nice from what we saw but didn't really use much of it. The view of water is between 2 other buildings but the patio was nice to have coffee on in the morning. The only thing that was frustrating was we arrived later at night and had a hard time finding somewhere to park.

Stay at Kapaa Sands April 20 to April 23, 2022

The location of the property was just great, exactly what We had wished for. It was well prepared for our arrival. Property owner had answered all the questions promptly before our arrival. Overall, it was a great experience. Mahalo for making our visit pleasant.

Entry instructions were not provided before arrival, so I had to contact Vacasa for the passcode. The delay caused us to miss a reservation. The beds were uncomfortable, and the body wash was nearly empty. I always stay on this property when visiting Kauai, but will likely seek a different host in the future.
