Centrally located 10 minutes north of the Lihue airport, next to the Coconut Marketplace. Islander on the Beach is sitting on 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens with swaying palms trees and cooling trade winds. This ocean front resort features a gorgeous pool and hot tub and is home to the local Sand Bar.

This ground floor studio has 2 full size beds, a fully stocked kitchenette with small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle (no cooktop). Perfect for a small family or traveling friends. Wireless Internet, smart TV, cable, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler for your exploring day trips. Close to shopping, beaches and activities. The door code we were given wasn’t correct, so we had to use the phone at the reception to call the after hours number (this was just after 4pm, so check in time, strange that check in time is not within normal office hours). Luckily they were able to provide the right code so we could get in.The studio is smaller then the pictures show and smelled terrible. The smell was moldy in especially the bathroom and cabinet in Living room, but the smell was everywhere. The studio, not condo, was old and everything in it too. Room was small and so were the beds, especially for 2 people. Pool/beach towels provided also smelled and were very old. The bed covers which were also meant to be used as blankets, were dirty and probably not washed in a long time. One bed had sand and dirt on it.The curtain was super old and moldy on the outside. We contacted management about our issue. The did reply early the next morning and offered a refund for the second night so we could change locations. Sadly we didn’t have that option since we had left the property very early in the morning, before the reply and didn’t get back until after dinner. We didn’t have time to find something else and move since we were only staying 2 nights. I hope they will fulfill my question of there was anything else they could offer as compensation.Especially the smell and it being old and not clean sadly took away from our Kauai experience. It didn’t meet any of the other reviewers experiences.

We loved this location and property. The condo was only steps from the pool which was so fun. The condo was a little cramped with two small kids and two adults.

Very nice accommodation

Great location. The studio was clean, and had all that we needed. The beds were comfortable. The room had rather high humidity level, so we would suggest that the owner adds a dehumidifier for both the room and the bathroom to help with this issue. It would also help to have a little better overhead lighting in the room. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and we would book this studio again if the price is right for us.

2nd time staying @ property

I stayed in a different condo last year that was much better then thos one. Everything in this unit is old, broken and smelly. eds hard, tv broken, toaster oven broken, cockroach in shower. Clogged drain, plumber haf to come. Not great! Need a lot of love and attention.

Wonderful spot!

The property was clean and provided a lot of amenities for us to use. We loved the location to view the sunset from the beach each morning and the pool right out the back door to enjoy an evening swim. There were shops just outside the buildings. When I asked the manager a question she was quick to answer. 10/10 would return again!

Honeymoon in Kauai

This place was close to the airport which made it nice for a late arrival time. It was clean and felt comfortable. The location was great to catch a sunrise. The entry way was beautiful because of all the trees and flowers. It wasn’t noisy at all.

Cette location est bien située par rapport à l’île propreté des lieux tout près du Coconut Market Place mais épicerie pas loin avec toutes les commodités ( beaucoup moins cher) c’est une île donc très cher mais ça vaut le coup pour les panoramas magnifiques la végétation luxuriante et faire l’excursion en catamaran pour visiter la Napali Coast

Amazing Experience

The location/resort is gorgeous, felt magical our entire stay. The place was clean and well stocked, amenities were great, only thing we noticed missing was a luggage rack but we made do just fine. We hope to be back again, a perfect experience.

It was a good location. Pretty area. Nice unit. However, I reached out to management for issues with roaches, the latch on the patio door was broken and no horizontal bar for security, lock on bathroom door didn't work, women's hair in the bathroom (we were all males). The light in the pool was broken when we got there and was never fixed the entire stay. The only thing that was fixed was a slow drain. If the unit was maintained as it should, it would be great. Also, the shrubbery in front blocks the view. As a suggestion, they should have the plants or the tree, but not both. Lots of potential though.
