Our Honu Villa in the Villages at Mauna Lani is a private one-level Hawaiian Kahili home filled with everything you need for a Hawaiian vacation including your own pool and spa, and nearby beach! We are members of the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Courses and have substantial discounts for our guests for both the north and south courses, (up to 30% off pp/per round) and tee time bookings 60 days in advance. Our home also provides access to Mauna Lani's private beach. Located in an intimate gated community in the heart of Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast. Meant for enjoyment, relaxation, and privacy, this oversized, exceptionally and newly decorated, 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath home (not condo) boasts sweeping golf course views and easy walking distance to the Shops at Mauna Lani (grocery store, Tommy Bahama's, and more), Fairmont Orchid Hotel, Auberge' Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, and the incomparable white sand beaches. The largest floor plan of single-level homes, our Honu Villa boosts over 3,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space, with its private pool/spa and lush tropical landscaping. We also provide access to the Mauna Lani beach complete with beach lounge chairs, restaurant, and drink service.

Relax with three master suites with their en-suite bathrooms, elegant Hawaiian Décor, and original works of art. The master bedroom also has a volcanic rock outdoor shower. The home features a vaulted great room, and a completely stocked, chef-ready gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, Sub-Zero appliances, and hardwood cabinetry. Separate office and Laundry Room. Mahogany finishes, retractable pocket doors creating a seamless indoor/outdoor living space, a huge covered entertainment lanai, and much more make this island resort home a true island paradise. Enjoy complimentary use of The Villages amenity center exclusively for owners and their guests. It features a freeform pool, spa, clubhouse with kitchen, and fitness center. You can also access the Mauna Lani Spa and Tennis Club for additional costs.

Our home has four beds, and can comfortably sleep 8. The dining room seats 8 and is perfect for an elegant dinner party or a casual get-together with friends. Our lovely home on the Big Island of Hawaii is beautifully appointed with all of the amenities of home. You will enjoy wireless internet, plasma TVs, outdoor BBQ, and lanais. Our kitchen has more gadgets than you will know what to do with, and our morning espressos are a must with the Kona coffee! There is a laundry with full-sized washer/dryer. And an office if you must plug in while in Hawaii.

Enjoy access to the following: Golf at the renowned Francis H. I'i Brown Golf Course with up to $100 discount per guest per tee time. Play tennis, and pickleball, take fitness classes or yoga, or swim in the lap large lap pool at the Mauna Lani Racquet Club. Luxuriate at the Mauna Lani Spa. Take a short drive to the private Mauna Lani Beach Club with excellent snorkeling. 5-minute walk to the Shops at Mauna Lani with Tommy Bahama’s, Foodland Grocery store, and other restaurants and shopping.

The Villages pool, hot tub, and gym are less than a block away, and the private Mauna Lani Beach club has some of the best snorkeling and scuba on the island whether you're a never-ever beginner or a seasoned pro.

The Mauna Lani Spa and Tennis Club is one of the finest spas on the islands. Their fitness class and yoga classes on the beach are fabulous too.

The home is located in the Mauna Lani resort, just 20 miles north of Kona International Airport. The big island offers awesome beaches, great hikes, star gazing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, world-class fishing, and golf.

Don't forget that from November to April 10,000 humpback whales travel 3000 miles from Alaska to Hawaii to frolic, calf, and mate in the warm Hawaiian waters. These awesome majestic creatures are so prevalent they can easily be seen from the shore. If you're after a closer look there are numerous companies that can take you out on the ocean for a birds-eye view of these beautiful endangered creatures.

Whether you want to zip line through the rainforest, snorkel with the Manta rays, hike to see the world's longest most active volcano, view snow atop Mauna Kea's 13,900ft peek as you walk along some of Hawaii's most beautiful beaches, or just read a book while catching up on much-needed R&R listening to the waves crash on the shore the Big Island of Hawaii has it all.

Very close (one block) are the Shops at Mauna Lani complete with a grocery store and numerous restaurants and shops. Our home in Hawaii is our second home. It is not your typical rental unit and as such is filled with every comfort of home. There is more to do on this island than you can imagine. Our home is absolutely perfect for a family or three couples to enjoy a trip to Hawaii. No matter what type of vacation you are looking for - reading and relaxation, to active sports, our home is in the perfect spot.

Amazing! We have been to Hawaii many times and this house is one of the best we stayed in. It was very spacious and we loved that it was a single story home. The house was very clean and in a great, quiet area. The pool and hot tub were also amazing. The house had everything we needed and so much space. One of the best spots of the house was the outdoor shower! We would highly recommend this home!

The house is very large and on one floor which was important to me and my arthritic knee. It was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and had everything we needed on first arrival.The location is great--- in walking distance to the shops of Mauni Lani and a short drive to the Beach Club and the outstanding golf courses of Mauna Lani Golf .The pool which is not very deep or long was perfect for my 4 and 7 year old grandchildren. If you wish to swim laps ,there is the community pool.We used the grille on 3 different nights while enjoying the lanai.The backyard has a view of the 13 th hole of the North Course. Despite a large tree in the back of the yard, we could still enjoy nightly sunsets.At 79 , I doubt I will enjoy this beautiful vista again , but perhaps my son and his family who were with us will return again since his wife grew up in Hawaii and has family in Honolulu.

Another perfect stay at a perfect home

Our family returned to this beautiful Mauna Lani home for another visit to the Big Island, and once again we could not have more happy with the experience from beginning to end. The home and property are better than ever, with impeccable attention to detail inside and out. We love staying near to our favorite beaches and getaway adventures around the island. And the off days spent relaxing at home here were a vacation within a vacation. There's nothing I would ask to change about the property or the quality of the experience overall, and I expect we'll get a chance to visit the Big Island, and this lovely home, again before too long!

A slice of paradise!!

We had the most incredible stay at Laura’s house in Hawaii — it was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful touches throughout the home.The house itself is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and perfectly equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing island getaway. We especially loved starting our mornings with coffee on the lanai, soaking in the pool or hot tub and listening to the birds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home, and the beds were super comfortable after long days of exploring.Laura was a fantastic host — kind, responsive, and clearly passionate about making sure her guests have an unforgettable experience. Her local tips helped us find some hidden gems we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.This home truly felt like a private retreat — peaceful, welcoming, and filled with aloha spirit. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Hawaii!

Family vacation

Beautiful house ! From the moment we all walked in we felt relaxed, like being at home. The property exactly as described, maybe better. Well stocked with family games and beach needs. We enjoyed the access to the beach club, great for kids and adults to snorkel, also great food. Easy check in process and very detailed book for guests. There was 6 adults and 2 toddlers, perfect for all of us. Loved the outdoor shower in the master bedroom !!!

Another great week

This was our second time staying in this lovely well stocked home. Close to beach, stores and restaurants the location is perfect! The house has everything you need for a fun vacation. The beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards were great to have for our days at the beach. The pool area and lanai were private and well maintained. The outdoor shower was loved by all! We really felt at home. Thank you for a memorable family vacation!

Perfect house for grandparents and kids!

The house was much bigger than we had expected based on the listing. It had absolutely everything that we could have needed for our vacation and more. The beach club was perfect for swimming, snorkeling and lounging. The back patio door which opened completely to create a seemless indoor/outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful weather and read while the kids played in the pool was great. Finally, the master bedroom suite with huge bathroom, bathtub, 2 indoor showers, and an outdoor shower was complete luxury. Thanks for a wonderful Hawaii experience.

Perfection

Our family of 6 spent a glorious week over Winter Break in this home. It was perfection. We were afforded every amenity you could think of under the sun. We enjoyed and took full use of the bikes, umbrellas, beach chairs and towels, goggles and fins, cooking supplies, and even the robust supply of games playing Catan every night. We did yoga poolside, went on runs, and cooked meals on the outdoor grill. The location was unparalleled, right next to the wonderful market where we bought our fresh poke and fish, and within biking and driving distance and access to the amazing beaches including the black sand beach. We felt like we were locals. We hope to be back again soon. Thank you for a week to remember.

Great Hawaii vacation spot

We had a great stay here. There were 8 of us total (3 adults, 5 kids aged 5-11) for 6 nights. The space was great. Large bedrooms, nice bathrooms. The kitchen was expansive and open to a large living room, which was great for family interactions. We cooked most of our meals at the property. The pool was just outside the back patio and was a great asset. All the extra equipment in the garage (beach toys, snorkel gear, boogie boards) really enhanced our trip experience. Kathi, the property manager, was very responsive throughout.

Family of four stayed in this lovely home. Very private, quiet and peaceful. Single level home a huge plus over two story homes in the area. We love to cook at home and this is the best stocked kitchen on the Big Island. We’ve stayed on Mauna Lani property for past 18 summers. This has been our most favorite property. Very gracious host and would definitely come back. Thank you.

Perfect stay

We had an exceptional stay at Laura’s home. It was really perfect for all our needs and we’ve stayed in MANY vacation rentals. • She was a very responsive, flexible and kind host, and the house was immaculate. • They have everything you could need for a stay, especially for kids: o Kids sand toys, children’s books, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, bikes, fish ID books, etc. • It’s insanely convenient for anything else you could need. Snorkeling Bob’s is around the corner for additional snorkel rentals, and Foodland Farms next door has a great selection of groceries, produce and fish. • The beach club is a total gem, and you can also easily swing by the Mauna Lani for breakfast or dinner with free parking with validation. Close to some other stellar beaches as well like Hapuna and Mauna Kea (recommend the hike between these beaches). • The lanai faces the afternoon sun and sunset which makes for glorious afternoons at the house and grilling fish. • Wifi was great. • Top notch delonghi espresso machine. • Outdoor shower is awesome.

Great house, great host

Laura was a great host and this is a great property located in the Mauna Lanai community on the Big Island. Because of a flight delay, we missed our first night. Laura was great in working with us to stay an extra night. First trip to the Big Island and had an excellent time. House - Nice house within gated community. Stocked with everything you could need and then some. Rooms were nicely appointed. Very clean. Pool and hot tub were great. Perfect for family or couples. Very quiet. Location - the gated community is walkable and there is a small shopping area about half mile or less away. It has a small grocery store (def recommend stopping at Costco by the airport), a couple of restaurants and some shops. Looks like some stuff closed down, maybe because of Covid. The Mauna Lani beach is very nice and relatively quiet. It’s about a mile. A little more than you’d want to walk with beach gear. Would have been nice to have access to bikes or golf cart but did have access to private parking at the beach. We had 3 teenage girls with us who preferred to go to Kona where there are more teenagers. But Mauna Lani is best if you want a slower experience. All and all a great place and would highly recommend.
