Ocean & Mountain View Home, near Downtown Juneau

Featuring simultaneous ocean and mountain views, this cozy 3-bedroom cottage is just five minutes from Downtown Juneau and a fifteen minute drive to the Eaglecrest Ski Area.

Originally constructed in the 1950's this rustic home features plenty of amenities and modern touches. Conveniently located on the water on Douglas Island, this quaint waterfront property is the perfect balance of accessibility and comfort. Easily access the historic city center to check out museums, locally owned shops, and a world famous wild Alaskan seafood scene or check off all the boxes of an ultimate Alaskan adventure by skiing, fishing, hiking, or exploring all that the back country has to offer.

Juneau stands on one of the largest wilderness areas in the United States. Here you can spend your time viewing wildlife, taking the fishing trip of your life, exploring atop glaciers or enjoying the city’s shops, restaurants and artistic flare. With plenty of weekend events, concerts and festivals - there is always something to do, no matter the time of year. As life-long Juneau residents, we’re happy to help make your vacation a memorable experience.

The Halibut House is just 15 minutes from the Eaglecrest Ski Area, Juneau’s community-owned and operated ski area with big mountain terrain, 1620′ vertical drop, 640+ acres, impressive backcountry access, untracked powder, and hardly a lift line! In the summertime, check out go-to visitor spots such as the Mendenhall Glacier (just a 20 minute drive) or walk 10 minutes to visit the world famous whale sculpture, Takhu and enjoy the ocean breeze as you perouse the newly constructed seawalk.

You'll have free reign of the upper unit of our property, including 3 parking spaces.

Parking is off street and next to the house, plenty of space for up to three vehicles. Downtown is less than a 5 minute drive and is a walkable distance as well.

Juneau

My family and I visited Juneau in August. This condo was perfect for out needs. Located only 15 min from Juneau over the bridge. On the first floor there is a queen bedded room, full bath with washer and dryer(loved having this). An open floor plan for the kitchen and living room. You have a view of the water where you can watch the see planes and bold eagles. The second floor has a 1/2 bath, queen bedded room the third bedroom has three twin beds that can be used. I'm certainly going to recommend this condo to anyone planning on visiting Juneau.

Good location and destination

It was a great place close to downtown Juneau. The rooms were mostly clean however there was some debris from probably the previous guests in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Outside of that there were no issues with the place or the hosts. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet time close to Juneau.
