Birdwatchers come watch the Tundra swans fly right over your deck as they settle down for the night at Bear Island Wildlife Sanctuary 3 miles away. It is great for fishing, and crabbing from its own private deep water dock, bring your boat, no need to put it on the trailer every night! Located right off the inter-coastal waterway. It is a kayaking paradise, also great for biking, reading, painting and photographing natures treasures and unimaginable views. Relax on the surround deck or on the dock and watch the dolphin swim by! Make memories with family and friends. It is equipped with modern conveniences such as internet (Free Wifi) and satellite TV. The two story decks afford panoramic views of the beauty and various wild life of the unspoiled wild mashes and rivers. We had a great time staying at this house over the weekend. Our group was looking for a place to be able to go on the boat all day and not have far to go when we were done. The house and dock was perfect for us. Ross was very nice and easy to communicate with and the house was very clean and comfortable.

This was an amazing peaceful location that provided fishing and an abundance of wildlife to be watched. The home provided scenic views from every direction and the layout was perfect for our family. During our stay we had the pleasure of seeing dolphins daily in both the Mosquito Creek and the Ashepoo River which stretches around the home. Both the sunrises and sunsets are like no other we have ever seen. B&B Seafood located a short distance from the home provided fresh shrimp for both bait and dinner. We also visited Bear Island which is a short distance from the home and the wildlife and views were amazing.

Beautiful Place

We came by boat and had an awesome experience. Ross was super helpful with checking in and made the checkout process easy. The lot is beautiful and the house is updated and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

A true Lowcountry Experience

I wish I had the gumption to give this location all 1 stars and tell you it wasn’t amazing. But that is because I want this rental to stay a secrete. The home is great, the location couldn’t be better, and the check in process was effortless. I will be back soon and hope this slice of heaven never changes.

Close to Nature

The house is just as described The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable The view is spectacular We watched dolphins swim in the river, an eagle catch and eat breakfast and many other birds and wildlife The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous We made two day trips. One to Edisto Island to shop at Kings Farm and to eat at Flowers Seafood Another trip was to Bluffton to shop and eat at Cahill With B&B Seafood so close , you don’t need to leave If you love nature, this is the place you want to come visit Thank you for sharing with us

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was really nice and clean. The property was well maintained and the boat dock was awesome. My son in law and I spent a full day fishing and crabbing. Very pleasant stay!

Great house, dock, and location

Brenda and the property manager were both very easy and accommodating. Property is clean and exactly as described. Excellent dock for keep a boat and plenty of fresh shrimp available at B&B seafood just down the road.

This area is so beautiful. The home is surrounded by water and is truely one of the most beautiful areas I’ve been to in the lowcountry. Many creeks and rivers to fish and go boating. If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is where you want to go. Local seafood market is right around the corner and provides you jumbo shrimp at a very affordable price.make sure to bring a boat to enjoy all the views! The home was a great place to stay. You will definitely want to come again!

Another great stay at Eagle Island

This wasn't our first time visiting Eagle Island, and hopefully it won't be our last. We love visiting the "round house" and boating to all our favorite destinations. If its raining, just read a book and enjoy the best views that you'll ever see of the true South Carolina low country!

Perfect Sanctuary From Life Stressors

Absolutely stunning views of the marsh, creek, and river. This home had all the staples for a stress free vacation. Our 15 year old grandson enjoyed fishing off the dock with us and everything about the property! This property is highly recommended for families or groups who really want to get away- pure relaxation and serenity!

Perfect for low-key bachelorette!

Our small group had an enjoyable stay! The bride wanted a very relaxing bachelorette party and this Vrbo was ideal! Being an hour away from the beach and great restaurants have us a nice day out of the house, but was just as enjoyable as the day we stayed at the house! The dock was perfect for laying out and attempting to catch crabs - we did manage to catch one large one and saw hundreds of smaller ones! Would definitely stay here again!

Family Getaway Perfection

Perfect long weekend with family! Some arrived by car and some by boat as we were familiar with the area. We used the dock daily to load up on the boat, relax, or fish. Edisto is easy to reach by boat for dinner, and Beaufort wasn't far to catch the air show. Kitchen is well stocked if not overstocked with anything left behind! We look forward to planning another visit soon. Cheers!

Beautiful Views

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to wind down from a hectic year. The atmosphere and reviews did not disappoint. We brought along our almost 4 year old grandson and he was able to experience fishing, rock skipping, and dolphin watching for the first time. He also found a number of great rocks to add to his rock collection, and was super excited! True, you are remote and the nearest attractions, to include food, is about an hour’s drive. Great idea to buy your staples before you check in and plan a day to enjoy the community. We had a great time and would travel to Eagle Island for a future getaway. Thank you Brenda for sharing your home with us! Even though you were traveling out of the country, you still took the time to check in with us to ensure we were enjoying our stay!

Roaches, horse flies and filth

When we arrived we had to do a major cleaning in the Kitchen We informed the property owner, but she did not offer any support to resend someone out to the house to complete the cleaning job. All the window sils were filthy with dead roaches, horse flies and layers of dust. It truly only takes a few minutes to vaccuum those things up. None of the bedroom tvs worked as advertised. There were over a dozen lights out in the house, A simple plan to change burned out bulbs is all you need. Food particles in the cabinets, whcih is why we had to wash every item we used by hand prior to its use. The only frying pan was a damaged teflon pan with peeling teflon. The refridgerator had to be re-cleaned by us, since there was hair and who knows what else. I wish the home owner had been responsive to our issues. We only requested a partial refund and not to be charged the cleaing fee since we had left the place better than we found it. Nonetheless, we hope that she learns from this poor customer service experience
