Oran Na Mara, Waternish

This 3 bedroom house is what Skye is all about. Oran Na Mara in Waternish is a newer dwelling built with comfort in mind and making the best of it's position, with incredible views to the Outer Hebrides.
The open plan kitchen and dining room give a feeling of space and the main living area is a real delight. Although it has central heating it also has a log burner that provides a sense of cosiness and solace no matter what the weather is doing outside.
Waternish is a well loved and very popular area on Skye.
There are local places to visit and Loch Bay, a Michelin Starred restaurant is 1.5 miles away, next to the oldest pub on Skye, called the Stein Inn.
If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy a classy living space, look no further.

Walking into this home was a treat, it smelled fresh and clean, was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we could possibly want. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the included toiletries were lovely. Beds were comfortable, bedding very nice and our stay was peaceful and perfect. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets from our deck and the deer grazing in our front yard. Owners provided lots of local knowledge and recommendations. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

We were thrilled with our accommodation. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We love the stunning views from every window and couldn’t believe how gorgeous the sunsets were. This place was a little piece of heaven.

If you really want to experience Skye, this is the place! The house and view are incredible. If I could move, this is where I’d go. Everything we wanted to do, we did from this location. We did day trips and it was always wonderful to come home to our special piece of Skye, even for the few nights we were there. Go to the Yurt for coffee and pastry. Stop by and tour Skye Skins and then go upstairs and buy one!!!! Can’t say enough about the home and location!

This rental was beautiful, modern, and clean. I only wish we had more time to enjoy it. The only piece of feedback I have is that we needed a fan. We were only there for two nights, so didn’t ask the host, but I’m sure if we did it would have been supplied. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

It’s my second visit with family to Isle of Skye. It is well worth the drive to this property as the views are absolutely stunning. The property was new and had every modern feature available. Great communication with the host and manager as well.

We had a wonderfully, relaxing time in this home. It's off the beaten track which meant a farther drive, but it was well worth the serenity and seclusion of this beautiful home. From the moment you walk in, you'll be at peace with the tranquil views and sleek, modern home. My family of 6 felt at home throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our Scotland trip!

The first thing my friends from the US said when we got in was, “can we just cancel the rest of the holiday and stay here instead!” Every detail was carefully looked into. Even during bad weather , we loved lounging and having conversation over a glass of wine, whilst taking in the painterly scenery. Ben has been very helpful and responsive during the booking as well. Can’t wait to return!

The house was amazing, the views even better. The property was clean, modern...the layout was ideal for our group of friends, with great downstairs gathering places, and the bedrooms were spacious and had great views as well. This property was the nicest we stayed in during our 12 day trek in Scotland - highly recommend!!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this gorgeous property. It s exactly as it appears in the photos on the website and is the most well-stocked rental home we have ever stayed in, including towels, cleaning products and even lovely scented bath products. Our experience with the rental manager was also excellent- very high quality service and responsive to every request. We asked for a barbecue and they not only ensured one was provided they also provided the materials to light it. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants quality and comfort for their stay on the Isle of Skye.

This remote property provides beautiful vistas, a cosy. modern well-stocked abode. We had a fantastic stay. Improvements could be made by providing a wireless Bluetooth speaker for music and making it clear that each appliance needs to be turned on by switch before the ipad instructions will be meaningful. Really appreciated having a few basics supplied (paper towel, dish soap, s&P and olive oil and vinegar). Thank you for a wonderful stay

Great location with a beautiful view of the bay and other islands. Perfect for a relaxing "get away from it all" vacation but still easy enough to go exploring other parts of the Isle of Skye. The house was very clean and had lots of space for 6 people. Communication and check-in worked perfectly.

We were a party of 6 which included our 3 year old granddaughter. The house includes a highchair and portable crib which made our stay very easy. We arrived to find beautiful fresh flowers and a lovely bottle of white wine. I was confused about the European kitchen appliances but received immediate guidance on the phone. We did not stop at a grocery store in Portree but found a local market about 15 minutes away. We had made reservations about 3-4 months ago and felt very lucky to eat at the Michelin Star Lochbay Restaurant which did not disappoint. We also ate at the Stein Inn and had a tasty meal. They quit dinner service at 8:30 so plan accordingly. Would love to come back and stay again. Leah Mcgill
