Welcome to Lazy Bear Cabin, your perfect Island Park retreat nestled right on the golf course with easy year-round access to Highway 20 and just 25 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. Whether you're planning a summer adventure or a winter snowmobile getaway, this centrally located cabin makes exploring effortless.

Inside, the heart of the home is a beautiful great room designed for gathering. Comfortable sectional seating invites you to relax after a day outdoors, while the open layout allows everyone to stay connected — whether cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, sharing meals at the dining table, or enjoying conversation by the television with Roku and Netflix. Free WiFi and reliable cell service keep you as connected as you’d like to be.

Lazy Bear comfortably sleeps nine guests. The master suite features a queen bed and private full bath for a quiet retreat. A second bedroom offers a queen bed, while the third bedroom is perfect for families with a queen bed and a queen/twin combination bunk — ideal for kids’ slumber parties and late-night giggles. An additional full bath and full-size laundry closet add convenience for longer stays. All bedding and bath linens are provided.

Step outside to breathe in the fresh mountain air. Fire up the barbecue grill, enjoy dinner at the picnic table, and take in the peaceful surroundings of Island Park.

Adventure surrounds you in every direction. Snowmobile or ATV directly from the cabin onto miles of groomed trails. In warmer months, enjoy boating, hiking, horseback riding, ziplining, golf, float trips, and sightseeing. Fish the legendary Henry’s Fork of the Snake or the Madison River, visit Mesa Falls, explore Big Springs and Johnny Sack’s Cabin, or catch a show at Mack’s Inn Playhouse. Harriman State Park is just minutes away. Grocery stores and local restaurants are conveniently nearby for easy meal planning.

The driveway is plowed during winter, and parking is available for two to three vehicles, with overflow parking at Island Park Village if needed.

Lazy Bear Cabin is a non-smoking, pet-free property and operates under county short-term rental ordinances. We kindly ask guests to respect occupancy limits, burn regulations, and our wonderful neighbors.

The house is really nice. The hosts have it well stocked with kitchen items- there was everything we needed for all our food preparation. The beds were all really comfortable. The single queen was rather squeaky, so I recommend that the heaviest sleepers use that one. It was clean and comfortable though. The travel time to YNP was accurate, so we got to spend a lot of time in the park. We would happily stay again.

This property was perfect for our family vacation, and truly within 30 minutes of YNP. We made sandwiches daily, and prepared crockpot dinners to save money. Their kitchen was extremely family oriented and with the grocery store just down the block, we were set! The home was comfortable in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was great! They had spices, plastic wrap, and everything else you would need for cooking. There is a little general store very close by. Reasonable distance to Yellowstone. Not a single complaint.

Nice property but a couple of issues. There were some mouse droppings in the kitchen that we cleaned up. The guest bedroom queen mattress is shot and needs to be replaced. Very uncomfortable. The polyester sheets are terrible and should be upgraded to cotton or cotton blend in the bedrooms. Otherwise enjoyed our stay in beautiful Island Park

Beautiful cabin in a great location

I really enjoyed our stay at lazy Bear cabin, the inside furnishings and bedding was very nice. The check-in process was easy. The checkout process was easy. I really liked the welcome book that told us everything we needed to know right away. The home had plenty of dinnerware and things to cook with, which made it easy to use while we were there. I was pleasantly surprised by the openness of the living room and the kitchen as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms. I was a little hesitant at the price overall, but it exceeded my expectations and I would stay here again. Highly recommend it.

The interior of the house is excellent, very well kept.But if you want a view don't pick this one! Your starring at the house being constructed12 feet outback! And construction starts at 7am 5/2025! But like l said the interior of this house is excellent,so if your just here to stay or sleep and don't care about the outside your good to go!
