Summary:
This listing is for our Fantastic Penthouse with four bedrooms and three bathrooms in Haudimar Beach Apartments at Jobos Beach, Isabela. This Penthouse is a corner unit on the third floor. The apartment stands out from others because of its large rooftop terrace facing the swimming pool and the beach. It also has a second smaller terrace facing East, where you can watch the sunset. Other excellent features include a Pool table and new bathroom cabinets.

The Space:
The apartment accommodates up to eight guests comfortably. The condominium has a basketball court and direct access to the beach. Enjoy a wonderful stay in our beloved Isabela, where the people are friendly, the beaches are crystal clear, and the food is exquisite. Families will be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the northwest area of the Island. In the beach area, you will find the bicycle path where you ride a bicycle or rent an electric scooter and cruise along the different beaches. And also, nearby, there is horseback riding by the beach, snorkeling, scuba diving, surf lessons, and other fun activities under the sun. Also, in the next town, Aguadilla, you will find “Las Cascadas Water Park.” In San Sebastian, you will enjoy“Gozalandia Waterfalls.” For nighttime fun, there are multiple bars and restaurants. Surfers can find beaches with diverse levels of difficulty: Jobos, Middles, Secret Spot, Wilderness, and Surfers Beach, among others.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in the North West part of Puerto Rico. This area have little traffic, it is quiet and safe. The residents of this area speak Spanish and most also speak English. There are restaurants and bars on a walking distance to property. For anything else we recommend a rental car. This is a small Island and it is easy to get around.

Getting Around:
There is no public transportation. Driving around is easy, all places of interest are marked on the GPS.

Other Things to Note:
DISCLOSURE

Beach life: Living on the Beach is a beautiful experience, different from what you can find in the countryside or city. This property is on the Northwest Coast of the Island of Puerto Rico, where a constant breeze comes from the ocean to the land at speeds of 10-20 miles per hour. This wind contains a high concentration of salt and fine sand. As a result of these weather conditions, you can expect to find sticky surfaces, slippery floors, stained window glass, traces of moisture or salt in the fans or air conditioners, and any other slippery or moist surfaces. Traces of rust in appliances and other metal components are also typical. We clean this property after check-out. We also do a quick inspection and retouch surfaces if needed before guests arrive; however, it is impossible to maintain the areas spotless because of this weather. These conditions vary by location of the property and by position within the apartment complex. If you book multiple apartments on the same property, you may experience different scenarios.

Local Beaches: Puerto Rico has a great diversity of beaches. Beaches on the North and East side of the Island are often wavy. The South and west coasts stay calm most of the year. The Beach in front of the Complex is unsuitable for swimming, but when the conditions are right, you may find a shallow pond between the reef and the shore. The nearest area with a sandy beach will be Jobos Beach, located 2/3 of a mile east of the Complex. You can walk right from your Apartment. At 1.5 miles to the west, you can find Shacks Beach. This Beach is great for snorkeling. Always be cautious when entering a body of water. Be aware of the swell conditions and stay away from the Beach if the waves are big. Within a 5-minute drive from the Apartment, there are two beach ponds with calm water: Montones’ and Teodoro. Another must-see Beach is Crash Boat Beach, which is 20 minutes away.

Note about bugs: Puerto Rico is a Tropical Island with a great diversity of bugs. We spray our apartments every month, but there is a high possibility that you will run into bugs on the property, especially during nighttime. Changes in the weather, like rain or temperature, can also make bugs enter the Apartment. Bug encounters may vary from one property to another, but it is unpredictable.

Note about wildlife: Puerto Rico has no dangerous species; however, you can run into Iguanas, rodents, and even stray dogs or cats. If you do run into any wild or stray animals, do not pet them or feed them. They may not be friendly.

Storm / Hurricane season: The official hurricane season in Puerto Rico is from June 1st to November 30th. We strongly suggest that all future guests get travel insurance, especially during hurricane season. We will not offer last-minute refunds due to storms or rain unless it is a big event that affects the Island utilities. We could make an exception if the power and water supply are interrupted for over 24 hours.

Utilities (water and electricity) in Puerto Rico are reasonably stable; however, we can have some isolated interruptions during the year. We will consider offering a refund if the interruption lasts over 24 hours. A 25% discount will be applied to the nightly rate of each night spent without a utility. The discount will be prorated by the hours affected. We will not provide any refunds or discounts for internet-related issues.

Swimming Pool: Your rental does not guarantee the use of the Swimming Pool. The pool is often open during pool hours, but sometimes it needs extra care. If the pool is closed for maintenance or other reason, please be kind to the Condominium’s staff. You may ask them when it will reopen, and they’ll provide any available information. There will be no discount if you cannot use the pool during your stay.

The boardwalk in front of the Complex is no longer available. The Beach is accessible through the wood bridge in the center of what was the boardwalk. Currently, the tennis court is not in service.

All the units that we manage have different owners. We provide the units fully equipped. Items such as towels, pots, and pans, among others, must be returned to the Apartment to which it belongs. Please note that other hosts rent apartments in this Condominium, and we will not likely receive our missing items back.

Please take good care of the property. We put lots of effort and money into providing an excellent experience for our guests. We understand the difference between normal wear and tear and property damage. Makeup stains or any other permanent stain are not considered normal wear and tear. We will charge the guests the replacement cost of damaged or missing goods such as towels, furniture, decoration, kitchenware, or any other lost or damaged component.

I'm always looking forward to offer the best vacation rentals to my guests. We do a double inspection of the unit before your arrival, however if anything needs attention please contact us. Our service hours are: Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm. Sundays off

Very spacious and great location

We had a great time staying here. It is perfect for exploring beaches in the northwest/west part of the island and then coming back to chill at the pool. The place was clean and very comfortable. There were plenty of balconies for everyone to enjoy some private time and to also hangout together. It was in a great location as well. We had a great time!

I’ve stayed in properties this host offered in the past and they were in way better shape. This penthouse looks much nicer in photos than in person. The living room couch is stained and looks dirty, the paint is chipping. Many stains on ceilings and walls throughout the apartment. The WiFi was not good. The host was very nice and communicated promptly, and even let us check in early. I do like the location of these condos, and the security they offer. Very close to Jobos beach. Many amenities like chairs, umbrella, cooler that other condos offer would have been useful. Overall, I would stay in a different condo offered by the host. This one needed some renovation.

Amazing Place!

We love the apartment, and it's in a great location. Everything was extra clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pool was very nice. The ocean is not safe for swimming, but the place is close to other calm beaches. But the beach is lovely for walks or to see the sunset. Communication was very efficient. Great place to stay in Isabela!

Safe, clean condo

We enjoyed our stay. Property was clean secure. Beds were high quality. Beautify view of the pool area and ocean. We had one bedroom a/c unit breakdown and owner was very responsive in getting it replaced. Lots of great beaches nearby. Kitchen was very basic and we were disappointed that there was no access to a grill, as we like to cook some of our own meals. Overall, great property.

Ocean retreat

This property was very well located with access to a surf beach. Lots and beautiful views and all the needed basics to make your stay pleasant. However if you are a foodie or like to cook the kitchen has the bare minimun as far as utensils, pots and pans to cook. Great for 1 or 2 people cooking but not enough if you have more than 2 people. However, there are plenty of great restaurants close by. We would come back!

Impressive

This place was very impressive with alot of space and awesome views. Great location but unfortunately the beach is not for swimming and you have to walk about 10 minutes for a swimming beach. Also, dryer was not functional during our stay.

Very pleasant experience.

beautiful apartment and complex (gated community) with beautiful views of the beach and the pool at the center of the complex. Quiet neighbors, at least while at was there. Some nice restaurants 5 min. away, a nice beach "Jobos Beach" nearby, and security personnel 24/7 (which are really nice). The negatives: -somewhat outdated kitchen however appliances where pretty recent, worked well. -decent beds (don't expect hotel quality) -small bathrooms (no big deal for me). -pool table sticks broken or with no tips, don't expect to have a pool game, just there for decoration. -just essential pots and pans, don't expect to cook big meals here. -no cable tv. (no big deal for me). smart tvs: standard apps should work Overall great place, the negatives didn't affect my grade because they were not a big deal for me, but they might be for you.

Out dated and in disrepair - Beware!

- Out dated pictures. Stained and faded couch and rug (not the same as in the picture). Kitchen cupboards need repair. - No fire alarms, they are in need of replacement. - No deadbolt lock, there is a lock but no deadbolt. - Dirty walls and light plates. - Cheap and insufficient bedding. - No kitchen supplies, not even salt and pepper. The only part of this location that is appealing is the location and complex. The condo itself is shabby and unwelcoming. We have staying in PR three times. Never have we experienced such a poor condo.

The location of the property is central to Jobos beach and easily walkable to beach, restaurants and bars. Ocean view from this unit is spectacular with an ocean breeze all the time on both patios. The unit was missing butter knives, since there were 8 of us we couldn’t even butter toast in the morning, the property manager was quick to respond however, whoever he tasked with getting more knives never did follow through. The unit is in need of some serious TLC, the 4th bedroom had no closet or dresser for clothes. The pool was large, and cleaned each morning, there are only 10 lounge chairs and apparently purchased by the residents. It seems like they close the restroom on the weekends, maybe no one to clean them? When open, they were spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if you can overlook the minor details you will love it.

Good and bad

So the property is really perfect for a family vacation. Unfortunately the property is worn out and dirty. All of the mattresses were uncomfortable. There was the bare minimum for bedding. The kitchen was equipped with the bare minimum dishes, ect… The stove/oven had no markings to for temperature or even what knob was for which burner. The living room furniture is not what is the unit. The couch was stained and small. I notified the owner with my concerns and he said he would get back to me. I haven’t heard back. The property has great outdoor space with nice furniture. The pool and grounds were well maintained and the kids loved swimming and watching the iguanas. With some cleaning and updates this would be a great place.

Love it

The apartment was clean and spacious for 7 adult and 1 child. The owner made it super easy to communicate with. The apartment was ready for us when we arrived. The pool was clean and well maintained. Jobos and Montones beach is super close to the apartment. Plenty of restaurants near by. Definitely would stay here again.

Excelente ubicación, limpia y con vista al mar

El apartamento tiene una vista muy bella al mar y al área de la piscina. Los estacionamientos son cómodos y quedan justo en la entrada de la propiedad. Encontramos todo muy limpio. Es un área segura y muy cercana a las principales playas de Isabela.
