  • Centrally located for Ilfracombe’s main attractions, this second floor apartment boasts amazing views from the living rooms and bedrooms.. Stairs to entrance.

    All on the Second Floor:

    Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge

    Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Economy 7 NSH, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair available on request. Welcome tray. Freezer and washing machine (shared). Patio (shared with other properties on-site). On road parking; additional parking in public car park, 50 yards (weekly permit available). No smoking. Please note: There are steep, unfenced slopes and steps in thegarden.. The Admiral’s House - five well-furnished and equipped apartments (three of which are featured here) - is stunningly located on the edge of Ilfracombe’s Heritage harbour with stunning harbour views. The Admiral’s House is centrally located for Ilfracombe’s main attractions. There are friendly pubs and restaurants and shops and cafes within a few minutes’ stroll. There are local boats for trips and fishing. For special experiences, the summer Lundy Island ferry runs from the harbour. Sometimes the famous Waverly Paddle Steamer offers coastal cruises. The Admiral’s House is a 5-minute walk to the Landmark Theatre. The path at the front of the house is the start of the coastal path leading to Hillsborough Nature Reserve and the coves of Reparee and Larksdown. Hele beach is a short walk, or there is paddling on the sandy beach just below the window. A great base for touring, surfing at Croyd and Woolacombe, cream teas at many gardens, National Trust properties, unspoilt Exmoor, the Victorian cliff railway at Lynton and Lynmouth and many mini theme parks within a short drive. Returning to the harbourside holiday apartment, fishing boats can be seen landing their catch, and crab and lobster can be bought for supper! Shops 100 yards.

The admirals house was great.

Lovely location overlooking the harbour. Comfortable bed, good shower and a good equipped kitchen, however missing a cheese grater and baking trays could do with replacing. Owner is very friendly and helpful. The only downside to our staycation was the weather, which when you holiday in the UK is so hit and miss. Would stay again. Everything about the apartment was great and would have been scored a 10 but for the internet. It was advertised has having WiFi but this was non existent. Fantastic location with views over the harbor and a well equipped apartment. Great place to stay as long as wifi not required.

Great view of the Harbour, a very comfy bed. Really helpful to have a cot and high chair provided for our son. A great location and price. The sofa had no seating support but the other furniture was great. I’d recommend you take a potato peeler and a large frying pan for cooking but most other things were provided and the host, Debbie, was very helpful. We’d also recommend buying a parking pass from the tourist office as it can be used at several car parks in the surrounding area as parking on the road was too congested. We will definitely return.

Being just out of season a lot of restaurants etc were closing early but despite this we still managed to eat well and Ilfracombe is a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was absolutely fantastic we had an amazing holiday and will definitely visit again!

Location absolutely excellent with fabulous views over the harbour. We loved Ilfracombe. Apartment was comfortable & clean with adequate equipment. Downsides were Wi Fi- unsecure network & very intermittent so this may be a disappointment to some altho the information on arrival does explain this. The garden at the back looked colourful & lovely to look out on but when walking up to it the picnic area was in need of a lot of care & attention. Perhaps the owners are in the process of clearing the area so it may well improve. Pity as it could be lovely, & probably was at one time.

Comfortable apartment for 2 people. The two flights of steep stairs could be a problem for some. The views of the harbour and sea are lovely, always something of interest to watch.
