The location was great for me, quiet neighborhood quite close to where I needed to be, good access to get around outside downtown Houston, and has a nice cozy feel to it. It was mostly clean overall with some pet hair and bits under the furniture (moved a couch for better use of the TV), but it could use a good thorough cleaning.Accuracy of the posting is a little off, it said there was a grill when there is not one and we had planned to use the grill for Father's Day. It did not mention a microwave and I assumed there would be one since 90% of the country uses them, but there was no microwave and that's on me for not noticing or assuming. Other small things we had to adapt to were no working can opener, pizza cutter, or potholders for handling things out of the oven.Communication during the stay was good with the host being responsive relatively quickly. The owner contacted me about needing to be there to check an issue with the dryer and a slow bathroom sink, which had them there for a while but they did fix the problems. However, another thing not fixed was the dishwasher that does not work even though it was listed in the property details. When I arrived the TV remotes did not have working batteries but I found a charger and batteries so got it working. The day I arrived the welcome message had instructions for the house and wifi, but also said we should not turn the air conditioner below 76 and asked to put it up to 78 or 80 if we were gone. In Texas. In June.
