The home was well equipped, and very clean upon arrival. It was great accommodations for our large family for Thanksgiving. The view off the front porch is spectacular.The bathrooms could be updated. The host was extremely responsive.If we are ever in that area again, we would certainly rent this house.

Even better than expected!

We had a large group of adults over to stay the night and the house had every amenity listed and the pictures overlooking Uniontown don't do it justice! Beautiful property and communication with property staff was excellent.

Great view, great accommodate for a crowd

It was a perfect place to stay for our extended family of 12. Plenty of room to spread out and relax or play.

We loved our weekend at Laurel View Retreat. The property was just as advertised and the amenities provided suited our purposes perfectly.

Beautiful house!

It is a lovely house, we made good use of the pool and hot tub. We should have used the fire pit more often, it was really nice the one night that we did. There were things nearby to do, such as zip lining and a day trip to pittsburgh.

Our group had a great time. The house layout is great for our guests, the view amazing, access to activities excellent, and overall a wonderful house. The one issue we had to navigate was that the kitchen was not stocked well as expected to suit cooking for and feeding 20 guests. It lacked some basics (measuring spoons and cups, larger skillets, storage containers for leftovers, serving utensils) and while it had ample plates and bowls we didn’t have sufficient eating utensils, smaller drinking glasses, or serving platters for a single meal. Nothing we couldn’t manage but would come prepared with next time.

Mountain Hideaway

This house is exactly as it is portrayed. Beautiful views, spacious enough for everyone and plenty to do. My mother-in-law uses a walker and after helping her up the outside steps, she was able to stay on the main floor with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc! We loved out stay and highly recomend this house!

Amazing place!

All around 10/10!! Great for group of family/friends. Huge TV room and couch great for hanging out. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was awesome. Don’t think just book!

This is our second stay at this property. Our family loves it! The view cannot be beat. We love hanging out on the porch all day overlooking the beautiful view and the pool. We have stayed in the summer and fall. We came during a particularly hot time this summer, and the air conditioning did a great job keeping the house cool enough. The shade from the forest already protects the house, and the porch stayed cool. The pool and hot tub are clean and working well. The couch inside is big and cozy. There's plenty of seating outside as well. We like that the central part of the house is the hang out area with the bedrooms in the periphery. We have a big extended family that gets together every year, and this can actually accommodate all of us. Plus, it allows our small dog to come. That being said, this house sleeps 20 but only has one fridge. We all like to cook, so we had to be careful about our food planning and bring mostly perishables due to fridge space. This spot would be perfect for us if it just had one more fridge in the downstairs with the laundry. Also, note that the property says dog friendly, but the listing did not mention (at least when I booked) the 55 pet fee that the property management company requires. Luckily, I emailed a month prior to check and paid that. I apparently missed an old email with our rental agreement; when I hadn't gotten door codes etc the day before check-in, I emailed to inquire and learned that I hadn't signed yet. They sent & I signed.

Great place for a great deal!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a big group of us going skiing a few days so was a bit far from the resorts (as we knew) but for the price it was A great location and the place was in good shape. Hottub was great, plenty of living space for all of us and the fire pit out back was a nice addition too!

Plenty of space. Owners were quick to respond. Few minor recommendations. Locks on bedroom doors, curtains for the windows.

Perfect Family Getaway

The check in and check out process is very easy. The property manager is very quick to respond. Maintenance was very nice and helpful. We noticed a couple things when coming in the home and made the property manager aware of it and we received a call from maintenance within a couple hours. The location was perfect and had an amazing view! The only downside was the Wi-Fi didn’t really work but overall it was a great vacation home and we would love to return!

Perfect for our 5 families to enjoy the spacious house with great AC and FANTASTIC sunset views! Had a hiccup that was addressed once I got the right party. Careful with your cars going up that drive, but ample parking. And the pool was big enough for the kids, but not all the guests at once. An extra fridge would be helpful for the guest size of this house and to be able to stay at the house without leaving on the regular. The pics didn't show it, but there is a nice little grass area next to the house with a firepit. We had fun at the nearby Caverns, Fort Necessity, whitewater rafting and several ice cream spots! And did I mention the view? Hot tub was clean.

Our yearly vacation was amazing! Our gurls learned to swim on their own with their puddle jumpers, the guys had fun, swimming and enjoying the hot tub while cooking. Us girls had time laughing, giggling and getting lost in town. The only part we can complain is the size of the showers certainly make it tough showering at times but we managed, and how slick they are. No tub made baths tough, but the girls learned to shower. Lastly i wouldnt say its fully stocked as some of the kitchen items could use upgrading, a working hand held can opener, a spatula for the bottom of a bowl etc. Otherwise we would have no issues coming back and very well may do so. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy a week away from our lives to just enjoy friends, family and laughing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We overall enjoyed our weekend trip! The place was spacious and had a game room, hot tub and fire pit to keep us entertained. Wish the pool would’ve been open, it would’ve added to the experience. I would’ve given a 5 star review if some updates would have been made as described in previous reviews and if there was AC throughout the place. The basement was cool but only one AC unit in one of the first floor bedrooms and ceiling fans that only had a low setting in some of the rooms. There weren’t any screens to open the windows so at night it was uncomfortable to sleep.

Mixed review

The location was convenient for our stay. The host: easy access, communication. As for the property itself. We loved the decks, kitchen, hot tub and pool. Downsides were the road and parking as the road was full of major ruts. We had two cars damaged and will have a few thousand in repairs! Seriously, a load of gravel to fill the holes and ruts would fix this - major oversight. The game room the hockey table was useless. There are five massaging recliners, but only one power plug. Also, sleeps 22, but that is REALLY stretching the sleeping capacity of the place. We had 14 and that seemed the real sleeping capacity and that was with two people on couches.

Unfortunately, upon arriving, we quickly realized that this property is very outdated, in need of repair, and overpriced. It started with seeing the pool before we even entered the house. The pool had a 2-foot-wide ring around the sides that we thought was algae, but learned that it was rust due to the heater being left on during the winter (I inquired before the visit if there was a heater; the response was no). We also realized that the pool looked different from the photos, the shape was different, and stairs were located in a different place. Upon entering the home, one of our guests needed to do some laundry right away, and we quickly realized that the washer was not working. We also noticed mold in the shower in the shared bathroom upstairs and that the water filter in the fridge needed replacing. I immediately contacted the host and received no response until the next morning. We arrived on a Sunday at 4 pm, and Rich's response at 9 am on Monday was "Message Maintenance." Not even an "I am sorry for your inconvenience". One of the floorboards leading to the downstairs hallway is raised and separated from the joining floorboards. Within a day or two, the floorboard had pulled up on one side and created a tripping hazard. We used packing tape to secure it. The listing states that there is a bathtub; there are 3 shower stalls, 1 of which appears to be from an RV; one we didn't use due to mold. Don't spend your money hear; there are much nicer places for less.

Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just completed our stay at Laurel View Retreat. The location was perfect. There were some concerns:The 3rd floor bathroom in the hallway had a horrible black mold problem. It is all over the wall and the ceiling above the shower. We did not want to use that bathroom at all, but had to. The toilet was repaired during our stay (someone had tried to fix it previously with duct tape) as well as the shower head that fell off. There was a miscommunication with maintenance and had to wait 8 hours to get the shower and toilet repaired.The first floor shower was not even hooked up.Many doors are difficult to close.The 2nd floor bathroom toilet would run. the inside of the tank has a shoestring holding together the float.Shelves are missing from the refrigerator door.The oven takes an hour to heat up. The door does not close all of the way unless forced.The staff that answered our calls regarding maintenance issues were friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff was also very courteous and addressed problems that could be taken care of.
