Cosy mountain hut with a garden

Accommodation description:
Experience the charm of this mountain hut with 2 accommodation units (1 on the ground and 1 on the upper floor, separate entrances). Each unit has a kitchen-cum-living room with seating area, bedroom with bunk beds & single beds and bathroom. Idyllically situated on a field and next to a wild life reserve, the last 200m to the hut are reached via a footpath. Snow chains are required in winter. Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove. As a retreat, there is deliberately no WLAN & TV here
The Wildschönau is an enchanting destination for nature and sports lovers alike. Located in the middle of the Austrian Alps, this picturesque region offers breathtaking landscapes and a wealth of activities.

For winter sports enthusiasts, the skiing area Skijuwel Wildschönau-Alpbach is a true paradise. Here you can expect perfectly groomed slopes and fantastic runs that will thrill skiers and snowboarders alike. The snowy backdrop and the fresh mountain air contribute to an unforgettable winter experience.

But Wildschönau also has a lot to offer in summer. The public swimming pool is the ideal place to cool off on warm days and have fun in the water. The children can look forward to water slides and paddling pools, while the adults enjoy the sun on the sun loungers.

The excursion destinations Schatzberg and Markbachjoch offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Here you can take leisurely hikes and discover the idyllic alpine pastures along the way. At these alpine pastures you have the opportunity to taste fresh milk, locally and sustainably produced cheese and hearty bacon - a real treat for the palate.

An absolute must during your stay in the Wildschönau is tasting the famous Krautinger, a regional schnapps. This unique schnapps is made from the root of the sugar beet and has a characteristic, spicy taste that captures the essence of the region.

In Wildschönau you can experience the beauty of nature in its purest form and discover local delicacies and traditions. Whether you want to race down the slopes, swim in clear mountain lakes or experience culinary delights, the Wildschönau has something for everyone. The accommodation consists of several separate housing units that are not directly connected to each other
