It was a pleasure staying at this beautiful house! Our family had a wonderful time! The pool area is amazing. Everything was clean and on point! The beach is 5 minutes away. Totally recommended it.

Great place for Adult Sibling Reunion

There were 11 adults and we enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen was well supplied and we were all able to sit comfortably around the dining table. The pool, hot tub and outdoor area were wonderful and the beach is a quick 5 minute walk and you don’t have to cross any main roads. You can walk to The Freckled Fin and The Doctors Office for great food and drink. The only negatives are some of the bathrooms need updating and the stairs are pretty steep.

A nice family getaway despite hurricane aftermath

This house was perfect for our family of 13 which included 7 adults and 6 children, ages 8-13. We were nervous about the condition of the home since we arrived only a month and a half after the two hurricanes hit the island. The homeowner was there when we arrived and she was doing last minute preparations to ensure our stay was great which was very much appreciated. We had a couple of issues with the home during our stay which were addressed almost immediately. The house was spacious and our family thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and slide as well as the pool table and ping pong table. There is no sun on the pool for those who are sun lovers. The house is one block from the beach and a short walking distance to shops. We stayed at this home 8 years ago and appreciated some of the updates they made to the floors, kitchen and bathrooms since our last stay. Overall we would recommend this house and thought the homeowner was very responsive to our needs and requests.

Family Beach Vacation

This house was well represented on the VRBO website. Descriptions were accurate and included a nice amount of beach gear. Nice property and easy beach access. We were disappointed with the inconsistency of the pool temp, and after walking around our "Clean" floors the first day, our feet were literally black. If you rent with this company, prepare to bring EVERytHING!! There was not a coffee filter or Kleenex to be had.

The place was very nice but we were disappointed that we were not offered a refund when we had to evacuate for the hurricane. Would have thought a refund for Unused days would have been appropriate

Family vacation

House was very nice and close to the beach need some more privacy trees/fence behind the pool and owners need to get a new management company they do not help with any requests as far as keep in the house clean and in good shape for homeowner

Would definitely go back…

Beautiful place and enjoyed our stay in very much. We did have an issue with the refrigerator but they took care of it within a couple of days. Pool was wonderful! We did all feel the floors throughout the house could have been cleaner!

Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Everyone felt like they had there own space and had enough privacy. Loved the backyard. The slide was tons of fun. Had a little problem with pool cleanliness, called and it was promptly taken care of. Some problems with the hot tub heating up. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this house again!

Perfect place for us

We were super pleased w/the house. Fit our needs with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom. Pool was fun especially w/the slide. Close walk to the beach with chairs and cart provided.

Fantastic location and a Good Accommodation

The property was very spacious and exceptionally well decorated for the area. All of the beds in the many bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We did need to clean the floors upon arrival as it appeared there was some sticky substance on them. The pool also had quite a bit of debris in it on the bottom as well as the surface. It had just rained the night before so that was understandable and not an issue as they had a skimmer available. We also needed to call the property manager, AMI Rentals, about a couple of issues. The property advertised 2 hot tubs or spas. Only one of the spas was operational. The hot tub on the roof deck was full of moss and smelled. There were also empty cans on the roof deck as well so clearly not taken care of by the cleaning crew. The first evening we were unable to heat the spillover spa adjacent to the pool. I placed a call to AMI the next morning and they were out within the hour to fix it. They did tell us, however, that they would not help with the rooftop hot tub as they do not recommend them...If that is the case...remove it from the listing and/or let people know that it is not operational. The kitchen could have used some of the basics. For the price of this rental, more than a couple of garbage bags, tide pods and dishwasher pods would have been a plus. I understand the lack of coffee/water/spices due to the Covid issues. The area had everything that you could want and we all had a fabulous time. We would rent this house again.

Great House, Cold Pool

Perfect amount house for our family of 14 (7 adults, 7 kids). We had problems getting everyone through the showers with hot water...only seemed to be enough for one or two showers then we'd have to wait. Speaking of hot water...we didn't seem to have any in the pool or downstairs hot tub. We called it in and someone came to look at it and "fixed it" at one point but never got warm which was a huge disappointment...only the 7-11 year old kids played in there for awhile. The adults and little kids were out of luck. Also worth mentioning is the tiki bar part of the pool creates a big blind spot if you're trying to keep an eye on the kids swimming from the upper levels. But it's a great location if you're looking to be in Holmes Beach. The property was clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find some extra amenities: plenty of cooking tools in the kitchen plus a wagon, popup tent and some beach toys in the garage were some highlights. We would absolutely return if only we knew we could count on a warmer pool.

Great family vacation spot!

This was our second time staying on AMI and rented through AMI Locals. The first time we stayed on the northern part of the island and this time, tried a different area. This house was perfect for us (6 adults and 6 kids). The rooms were all very nice, with king beds and bunks for the kids. Tons of bathrooms. Having laundry both upstairs and downstairs was so helpful! The pool area was amazing for the kids, with the slide and shallow area for the little ones. Having two hot tubs was an added bonus! It is important to know the backyard has a lot of trees and shade, so for the little ones it was great (less sunburns) but if you’re a sun worshipper you might not be happy. Overall the house is awesome and it’s close to beach, restaurants and ice cream! AMI Locals was very responsive to any requests we had and very pleasant to deal with.

Picture perfect get away

We stay at Surf View for a family reunion group of 12 people. The house is exactly as showed in pictures. We spend must of our time in the AMAZING pool. Location could not be better. Walking distance from the beach, restaurants and grocery. We will definitely stay again.

Awesome Family Vacation

This was the perfect house for a big family. Each of our 5 children and their spouses had their own bedroom and there were two bedrooms for the grandchildren. They had a blast on the bunk beds! Easy access to the beach (about a 5 minute walk) whether you are going for a couple hours to play in the water or for a couple minutes to watch the sunset. Very convenient to other places on the island. The pool was perfect for relaxing and playing. Everyone (adults and children) had a great time going down the slide or jumping off the rock feature. The hot tubs were awesome! The house had plenty of space and the large kitchen table was perfect for eating as well as playing games. The living area was very comfortable. Everything worked well (including the AC) and we had no mechanical problems. Only suggestion would be to provide more kitchen amenities i.e. dishwasher soap, garbage bags, etc. Not very expensive and would provide a huge convenience. Check-in and check-out process was automated and very easy. Lisa (the property manager) was very helpful to answer questions and provide access to companies from whom we rented beach toys and baby items (crib, wagon, high chair, etc.) so we had them upon arrival. She was very responsive by email and phone when we had questions, mostly pre-arrival. We had a great time!!

This house is stunning and within a very reasonable distance to walk to the beach!!!

Easy check in. Great communication with the property manager. Great outdoor space and pool. The kitchen needs a few more amenities if you plan to cook but such a beautiful place, we didn't really care!
